Approximatly 8 years ago I voted in favor of gay marraige in california. And was suprised to see it voted down. As a single straight male in california it really had no effect on my life whatsoever. Although my vote was defeated, I understand, that in a democracy the "People" vote, and that vote should become law. That simple. If you dont believe that law is fair, one must go through the proper channels to change it.
When the gay marraige proponents went through the back door (No pun intended) to overturn that law, I found my faith in our democratic process somewhat disturbed. And that disturbed feeling has carried over to this Carrie Prejean issue.
All this girl did was speak her own mind. I don't 100% agree with her, but I applaud her for stating her opinion.
The actions of the gay marraige proponents have done nothing more than turned me completely against them. And although "Gay Marraige" has no effect on my life, they can count on one less vote from me as a result.

It's not about photos. It's not about her views or opinions on what defines marriage. Everyone is entitled to their own opinion, and an opinion, by definition, cannot be wrong.
She doesn't have to support gay marriage as much as the lady next door doesn't support 'racy' photos. Not to mention that she indicated she was a teenager in these photos. As the mother of a 15 year old girl, I would shit myself if my daughter did this...even at 18 years of age.
It is about hypocrisy, though. If she is going to be tooting her horn about religion, then she had best be keeping her whistle clean...and topless photos, along with breast implants doesn't really support the squeaky clean image she's promoting. That's the point. Leave gay-bashing and everything out. It comes down to this - people in glass houses shouldn't be tossing stones around.

I'm a Christian and I've done many things that I knew were wrong, but that doesn't stop me from striving to be a better Christian, despite what sins I might fall into. So, knock it off!

The malicious nature of the attacks should show everyone how the slander and bashing will continue to come from the vile fairy crowd trying to justify themselves.

One fact we know for certain: if Carrie prejean had answered the gay marriage question by stating she supported gay marriage, absolutely no one would be criticizing her. Yet because she chose to defend the traditional definition of marriage the President and the majority of Americans subscribe to, she is persecuted by the homosexual rights community. And the pictures? Please, there are far more risque pictures routinely displayed on the covers of mainstream magazines.

She has a beautiful body, nothing to hide. I support Gay marriage and I'm straight, but I feel the attacks against her for giving her opinion rather defeating to the cause. She spoke in a respectful manner and gave her personal opinion on the subject, so why become so vicious and insulting? Does anyone think that is necessary or constructive? Bad move Gays, make peace and fight a better fight. Best of luck to All.

It's amazing how an individual in the public eye 'comes out' as gay and the 'buzz', 'media', 'volumes of Internet coverage and blog' are non-existant. A young woman expresses her personal feelings/opinion about 'gay marriage' and the airwaves go insane. And what do breast implants have to do with ANYTHING. That practice is rampant in this country and it would be shocking if there was not a lesbian to be found who never had one. Too many people with too much time on their hands to waste.

Just more gay bashing. Anyone who "comes out" against gays gets bashed in the media. Fagots have nothing better to do that to insist over and over again that they are "normal" or "born that way." Freaking perverted child molesters are probably "born that way" too, but doesn't excuse the nasty, supernatural deeds. To make a lame attempt to compare that to this picture is laughable. I'm going to be a LOT less tolerant of gays now, especially since science has proven that people are NOT born gay and that being a perverted pickle farmer is a choice. Got poop on yer penis?

Big deal! She didn't reveal anymore than the "celebrities" on Dancing with the Stars nor anymore than underwear advertisements. Every woman on television has her boobs hanging out on the sides and in the front down to their belly button. What is this obsession with woman these days having to reveals their boob jobs which is evident to anyone with a brain. Normal boobs do not look like cups under the skin. The gays are the ones who are intolerant. I have always been friends with gays and respected them very much. However, I am beginning to feel hostility towards them with their recent protests and intolerance that the majority of California disagrees with them. I agree with equal rights but it is not a marriage. Why do we have to change the definition of a word for them or anyone? Call it a garriage, parriage, larriage, anything but it is not a marriage. Give me a break.

These pics were taken when she was younger. She is being ridiculed for her beliefs even when she said she believed everyone has their own opinion and views..that's the beauty of our country. Yet..just because she didn't answer the question the way the "GAY community" wanted her to they are beating her up. She is a beautiful & intelligent young woman whom most of us admire. I'd rather have her as a role model for my children any day verses the GAY guy that made an ass out of himself ranting and raving, looking like a complete idiot just because she didn't answer the way he wanted her to.

This whole article is based around something called argumentum ad hominem, one of the most basic fallacies of logic.
If whomever wrote this poor excuse for a literary proposal understood the basics of a logical argument, we all could have been spared. However, what ought one expect from something called hollywood gossip? Indeed, perpetuation of an ignorant subculture.

Carrie Prejean should not have brought Christianity into the gay marriage issue. Affairs of the church should end where affairs of politics begin. However, as a practical matter, I support her view (as do the majority of the nation): Marriage should be between a man and a woman. I base my conclusion on two factors:
1) As a practical matter, no two people, straight or gay, should enter into marriage if procreation is not part of the goal. Accordingly, if procreation is a goal between two people, it should be in the presence of marriage.
2) Once you open up the definition of marriage as other than a union between a man and a woman, other interpretations will likely follow, such as marriage between a man and more than one woman, a man and his cousin or sister, a woman and her goat, etc. There is no reason why proponents of these unions shouldn't pursue their "civil rights" as well. Where will it end?
Carrie Prejean had the right to express her opinion, though I do find her ex
