Love the books, hated Twilight because they changed so much and will hate New Moon if they change from the book. Don't see how they can take away the ultimatum of marriage, but then again, they did ruin the first one too. Stay true to to the books. That is the story we all fell in love with.

If they take the ultimatum of marriage out at the end, the rest of the series is ruined! That's the whole point -- Bella doesn't want to get married because she's so young, and the fact that he's so old-fashioned and wants to commit to her. C'mon guys...get this right!

From what you have seen in the spoiler does it seem like Bella witnesses Jake morph to the wolf? Thats what I got from it and I know thats not how that scene played out in the novel...

I can't believe that they are going to change the ultimatum that's the best part and if they change it wouldn't make sense in the others movies. I hope that they don't mess with that part.

i didnt maind the first 2 changes but the last one is really going to screw everything up.
yu can not possibly do the last 2 movies if yu change the idea of a wedding completely. fans will be very dissapointed in that change. i for one think the director really sucks alraedy for this sequel.

this is bad...the ending of new moon is priceless..its one of the best endings from the saga..and they want to change it.....what the hell is he gonna offer her...the original ending of new moon..falls perfect with ECLIPSE..i dont know what they are thinking but they should stay with the original plot...and another memorabl part of new moon is that EDWARD DOES NOT SHOW UP untill Bella and Alice are in Volterra thats why its make such more of an impact when they finally see each other...GREAT JOB SUMMIT

Please don't change the ultimatum,,, I love that part..I know that they have to change things in a movie adaption to make the movie make sense,,, but edward asking bella to marry him,, was for me a big important, moment... I will be dissapointed if its something sub standard,, please movie gods don't do this....

the changes sound great except for the last one , i can't think anything that would be as great an impact as him wantimg to marry her. I can think of nothing else that would hold her off. And it leads into the next book or next movie. Not sure if people will get the view of edward and his morals form the early 1900's.

WTF!!!!!!! u cant do this... the ultimatum is key for god sackes!!! i mean u r gonna make us wait untill november!!!!! look im all for the added fight ok... and as far as edward appereing instead of just h aveing us hear his voice... i could care less...i dont want him to show up but still it is no big deal... they need to make sure it isnt stupid looking, thats all.... but nooooo proposal.. i mean at least tell us how u r destroying THE WHOLE SERIES i mean really.. think about it.. if edward doesnt perpose then bella fight for love makeing. and if she doesnt fight for love makeing then they dont get married.. and if they dont get married then they dont have love makeing and they dont have Renessamee!!!! my god leave the storie as it is suppose to be. marrige and all.... dont destroy the biggest plot in the series... (her transformation from mortal to immortal)...and if u wont listen then make sure it is closely related to the accually thing... wow i kinda hate summit now!

I dont really mind that they are actually going to put RPattz in there. However, I am pretty mad that they are going to take out the proposal. That is like a KEY POINT in the book. By the way, doesnt SM get input in the script. I can't believe she would let that happen. Although, think about how much money she is getting paid.

I don't think it would be a bad thing, think about it when you read the book and when Bella hears his voice in her head you can just picture Edward saying those things, so in actual fact this would be a good thing because you are picturing him anyway!!

Changes are inevitable when making books into films. But haveing Edward "appear" destroys the longing Bella has for him. When he took away her pictues from that photo album, he wanted her to forget his appearnce. He wanted to pull away from her completely. Not that I mind seeing Robert Pattinson on screen, but it destroys to moral of the book. And the changes in the "marriage ultimatum" is comepletely ubsurd! That irrates me. As one of the millions of Twilight fans, I know it's hard to experience so many chamgs from book to movie. So I hope I like how it turns out.

I think that having Edward appear will be okay. Chris is a great director and I am sure that it will be very tastefully done and very ominous in presentation. As for Laurent fighting the wolves...in the book Jacob later comments to Bella how Laurent did put up a fight but it wasn't much of a fight. So the fact that a fight ensued is in print but as the book is written from Bella's perspective you don't actually know the details of anything that goes on outside of Bella's character. The same was for the James sequence in Twilight...we never read about the fight between James and Edward that too was added for cinematic purposes.

They cant change the ultimatum that's crazy thinking! Everyone knows they get married and that was what got everyone reading further into the books I think.

they
cannot
change
the
ultimatum!
they are destroying the entire rest of the series, which is fuelled by the proposal !!!!

Well I don't have a problem with them adding the fighting bit that might be fun but I think they should keep him absent throughout he movie because it will be more dramatic at the end when he comes back into the picture. Also I think that taking the wedding ultimatum out of the movie takes away from it. It plays such a big role in the next books. Oh well I'm still looking forward to seeing the movie. I love the books.

Well, Edward does actually appear in New Moon - but only towards the end when Bella attempts to save his life. I understand why they would want to give him more screen time though - after all he is the reason why 98% of fans are willing to see the sequel to a truly awful first film - and I think an apparition is a pretty creative way of making that happen.
I don't get the changing of the ultimatum. Without that, how are they going to make the other two movies?! The whole plot would have to be changed.

I think that everything else sounds pretty good BUT they cant be serious about changing the ultimatun thing, my favorite part is when Edward asks Bella to marry him and if they mess it up I'll be mad!!
But like I said Im happy that Rob will be in the movie more than expected :):)And when it comes to that action part, I think it could be cool!

NO,NO,NO!!!! they can not take the part where he asks her to merry him, they rest of the Movie's would not make since, what other ultimatum would make since. I will be so bad, that's my favorite part of that book. They better not mess this movie up!!!!

One more thing! On the acting skills of both Kristen & Rob I think they are both on their way to showcasing their acting ablities. They are both very young so they have a lot of room to grow as actors. But, that being said the characters they portray in Twlight came across just as they should have. Bella is ackward and shy and Edward is a vamprime who is trying to live among humans (can't be easy). I think in New Moon and the sequels that follow you will see them grow as actors just as their characters do in the book. Good luck cast of New Moon can't wait til Nov. 20th.

I think they should stick as closely to the book as possible. Let's face it the books are what started this whole thing! There are key elements in the books that must be in the movie, the marriage being one of them. So, Hollywood don't mess up a good thing. Sometimes if you mess with too much you lose in the end.

i think that people need to just leave Kristen alone...she is not a "Twitchy" actress she is playing bella and bella in the book is akward and that is what she is trying to do okay so leave it be. but i also love Robert i also agree that they should not put him in the movie becaus ein the end of the book i bet a lot of people were happy he was back and if he is appering every where then it wont make it as fun. Second Laurant does not fight back he runs away so that is a little weird. and last WTF is up with the tade thing they ar enot going to make him ask her to marry him???????

Hmmm, the question wasn't really about acting ability was it!?
As for the changes made from the book to the movie, it's obvious that there have to be some changes. Some things that work in a book just don't work in a film adaption. In the book, there's all this description about Edward's tone of voice etc which really paints the picture in the mind but i think in the movie it'd just seem a bit random to have RPattz do a voice-over!? At least if we get to see his facial expressions, it might make up for the description which we got in the book!?
I know Laurent doesn't get a chance to fight back in the book but i guess it'll make for a good action scene like the one with James in Twilight. The proof will be in the pudding I guess, we'll just have to wait til November.
And as for the change of ultimatum, well I can't really pass comment on that until I know what it is can I? hint hint, nudge, nudge, wink, wink ;)
