Kris Allen Wins American Idol!
From handsome also-ran to American Idol champion.
Kris Allen completed an incredible journey this week by being named the eighth-ever winner of the most popular show on television.
Overlooked when the competition began - at the outset, Simon Cowell even suggested that Allen should keep his marriage a secret because he would only advance based on his looks - Allen shed his underdog label and overcame Adam Lambert in a tightly-contested finale.
What was Allen's reaction upon winning? He said: "Adam deserves this. I'm sorry." Class act (and we agree!).
Will Kris follow in the successful footsteps of past victors such as Carrie Underwood? Or the anonymous footsteps of champs such as Reuben Studdard?
Only time will tell. For now, let's just wish a hearty congratulations to one of the most unexpected winners in show history!

I am LMAO at all the comments from last year!!! We all KNOW for a fact now who is more successful!!! Fucking Kris Allen can't even sell 1,000 CDs in a week!! Ha ha ha!!!

Kris needed to win, not some guy living in Hollywood who knows a bunch of celebs and has been in musical theater since he was a kid. Give the new guy a chance, we all know Adam is doing great.

I HATE KRIS ALLEN AND THAT GURL NEED TO SHUT UP! Kris Allen win because he waz no gay (not that adam is) and all that. Seriusly but everybody think that Adam Lambert should totally win even if he's gay or not dude face it its the 21 centruy. Kris Allen Sucks!!

I really think Kris deserved it because in my opinion Adam was just getting annoying and just screaming all the time which is pretty bad if it annoyed me considering i listen to hardcore screamo!! Not to mention he was becoming way too cocky like he had already won it and that probably turned a lot of people in kris' direction..just sayin'

You think Adam Fuckerlambert will actually get lots of recording companies bidding for him and stuff? You think Idol would let a gay win? Its all a fucking conspiracy.
Adam Lambert should stop being all about himself.

phuh!!! this is, er i dont know.. the 100s time I'm going to make some sense to most of u here that doesnt Accept who won... Yea.. We do know who has is best crowned to win.... But We cant say that... They both desserve it... Just becouse Adam can sing high notes doesnt mean that he is the best... What if... If he sang smooth musics.. what then huh...!!?!?! yea.. thats rite.. think about it.... Adam with the rockerz n Kris with the smooth.... So, To win this... They need lots n lots n lotsssss of fans... N this shows that Kris hav it!!! Its ur fault not to vote for Adam like what Kris' fans did... They say n do!! Not say n only brag at the end that Adam shouldve won!!!.... I just wan to make a living sense out of most of u here.... U make me sick to read all the comments about the American Idol contestent... They all are winners to me... I have faithfully watched AI for eight seasons with my three daughters and husband, and I have never been blown away by any of the talent; until Adam Lambert! Kris Allen belongs in his home town bar that's about how far his voice will carry. He strains and squeaks to hit any challenging note, any many of those are flat! I can't stand watching him sing with his crooked mouth. Adam on the other hand has the most amazing voice, when he sings it is effortless, not to mention he is gorgeous and has all the charisma! What makes you think the only music he would produce would be hard rock?
