Katrina Darrell Says Kara DioGuardi Looked "Stupid" on Stage

We weren't huge fans of Kara DioGuardi as the fourth American Idol judge this season.

Too often, the songwriter came across as overly serious and/or pompous.

Still, in DioGuardi's feud with former contestant Katrina Darrell, it's impossible not to take Kara's side.

This rivalry appeared to be dead following Wednesday night's unexpected duet between the pair, as they sung together on stage and even bared their bikini bodies together on stage.

However, sensing an opportunity to tack on a new 15 minutes of fame to her resume, Darrell called out DioGuardi in a new interview with Radar Online.

"I don't think she got the reaction she was hoping for. I think she probably thought I would cry or get mad, and I didn't - I played it off," Darrell said. "Looking back at the tape, she just made herself look stupid. She didn't make me look stupid."

Darrell says she had no idea Kara would join her on stage, a claim we find highly dubious.

Did Katrina really think she had earned her own performance on the finale?!?

    haiz... I saw some silly comments here and decided to chime in to give my 2 cents. No doubt Kara knows that her body are less hot, as she herself said on the stage in the end. But here's the thing. She had already won over BG through singing, it will be better if she let BG to win on the body side. Btw, the way Kara say to the host in the end, "I know, she had body" carry a bit of sarcastism that BG can't sing. In the end of the day, it's entertaining that counts. Doesn't matter classy, professional or whatsoever.

That was the whole point of that stupid part.. she did look stupid doing that. She made a great valid point about the looks over singing.. but doing that at the end? It just made her defeated. Kara defeated herself with that stupid stunt. Katrina looks a hell lot hotter. Yeah, she might not have a better voice than Kara.. I think that was a given. But the unecessary bikini wear that Kara came out with? She's officially a dumbass.

    i wasnt a big fan of kara but she has a kick ass voice and the little slut next to her should shut her freakin mouth for 3 reasons: 1. she looks and sounds like a chipmunk 2. she is DESPERATE for attention 3. she went off key WAY too many times

    Yeah, everybody hates Bikini Girl. She's annoying. She's also young and attractive, which makes her a target for most women since we tend to eat our young when faced with that kind of sexual competition. Kara Dioguardi is equally obnoxious. Maybe more so because she's old enough to know better than to get into a p*ssing contest with a skunk and, as a supposed professional, should have kept it all on a classier level. She has not been a welcome addition to Idol. A fourth judge was unnecessary, but picking her to be THAT fourth judge was a huge mistake. The woman does not have the likeability factor. Her arm-waving and facial contortions are unattractive and uncomfortable to watch and her critiques are redundant. I hope they dump her now that the season is over.

    Come on. You credit Katrina with enough intelligence to not be tricked into appearing on the show, thinking she was going to get to sing her song alone. I think it is obvious from her reaction and the nasty looks she flashed at Kara that she had NO CLUE she was going to share the stage with her. I thought it was the best moment of the show.
