Wow. Britain truly does got talent.
The entire world knows about Susan Boyle by now, but a couple other contenders have emgered for this season's Britain's Got Talent title: Hollie Steel and Shaheen Jafargholi.
We can now add Jamie Pugh to that list.
Appearing visibly nervous on stage, Pugh is the male version of Boyle: he's older, normal looking and even belted out a song from Les Miserables. Listen to him sounds like a regular Jean Valjean during this rendition of "Bring Him Home."
Tragically, Pugh's wife Tracey passed away from a brain tumor 10 years ago. The aspiring singer was left to raise their young son Callum on his own.
Reportedly, Jamie refused to mention this sad fact in his original bio for Britain's Got Talent because he didn't want to receive any sympathy votes. Gotta hand it to the guy for that.

I loved him I thought he was jus fantastic, another beautiful singer in his own right. I loved Susan Boyle and now another one. I hope they let him continue on, his voice needs to be heard by others and I would like to see/hear more of his singing.

Jamie was wonderful - such a sweet man, such a lovely voice, such a shame he left last night following a very nervous performance. The judges were very hard on him. Would love to hear more of this chap.

A good voice. Good stage presence. Potential. Should pursue a stage or musical acting career. Talented.
