Chris Brown Keeps it Low Key on Birthday
Rihanna grabbed headlines with a surprise, eye-popping appearance in which she wore a menswear-influenced Dolce & Gabbana creation at the Met Gala in New York Monday – but Brown was the one who has something to celebrate: His 20th birthday.
The birthday greetings poured in for Brown on this celebrity gossip site, as fans wished the embattled, allegedly abusive star well on the 5th of May.
How did he actually spend the day?
Laying low with family in Virginia.
According to a source, Brown had a small birthday celebration with friends and family. Probably a good move to stay out of the limelight, as he faces two felony counts – assault and making criminal threats – to which he has pleaded not guilty.
The on-again, off-again pair have spent time apart lately, but reunited briefly in L.A. last month before Rihanna headed to her native Barbados.
There, she is rumored to have rekindled a romance with her ex-boyfriend, Negus Sealy, a.k.a. The Love God. She has not commented on this.
Inside at the bash, after Kanye West finished his set, partygoers erupted in cheers when Rihanna – still clad in her suit – joined the rapper onstage for a duet of his tune, "Say You Will." She then sang her hit, "Live Your Life."
In March, just weeks after the alleged confrontation with Brown, Rihanna celebrated her 21st birthday with a night out on the town in L.A.

Chris, keep your head up, and continue to pray, God, has the last say so. Nobody should judge you, you are not the only one that has made a mistake, their have been plenty more before you. My sons still love you and listen to your music. I teach them not to judge anybody, that everyone makes mistakes, even Mom and Dad. They admire you for your musical, dancing, and acting talents, your personal life is none of their business, I teach them to look to God for answers, you do the same. Keep your head up. Hey everyone,
I saw the comments on birthdays, and since it is my best friends 21st birthday coming up I wanted to add a quick comment. Birthdays are great! For my close friends I always organise a little gathering for drinkies in the evening, or a nice meal out! I try and go that little mile for my friends! As part of their day of surprises, I tend to send my friends a little electronic Happy Birthday greeting in my lunch break! I have done my research and tried loads of different sites, and have finally found the perfect Free Birthday e-Card site. This particular site has an awesome application where you can upload a photograph of yourself and incorporate it into your card. This is such a clever idea, and adds that personal touch, and as I already mentioned this particular site is totally free. I think e-Cards are definitely worth a try, they are not for everyone, but I am becoming a fan! Just wanted to share
