Candy Spelling Blames Husband's Death on Daughter

by at .

Wow. This is enough to make the Linda and Brooke Hogan seem like a close-knit mother and daughter.

Appearing on a Massachusetts radio station, 94.7 WMAS, yesterday to shill for her new book, "Stories From Candyland," Candy Spelling didn't merely bad mouth her daughter; she pretty much blamed the 90210 star for the 2006 death of her father. SERIOUSLY.

Dressed as Something

"My daughter one day decided that she wasn't speaking to my husband, myself and my son, and that's how it's continued for the last, oh gosh, four or five years," Candy said. "And it was sad, that's what killed my husband, actually. He just didn't want to live after that. He [had] just done everything he could possibly do for his daughter, and she wanted no part of him once he couldn't do anything for her."

Yes, referring to her own daughter's actions, Candy actually said: that's what killed my husband.

Candy Spelling has set the bar of awful mothering extraordinarily high. Good luck reaching it, Dina Lohan and Denise Richards!

In an attempt to garner more publicity for her joke of a memoir clarify her statement, Candy wrote the following for The Huffington Post:

"I didn't intend to create headlines. I was asked a question about my daughter not speaking with my family, and I answered truthfully. My husband was very ill, and he had stopped eating and taking liquids. He called Tori on a daily basis, and never stopped asking if Tori had returned his call. We had to say no every day."

We can only think of one response to these galling statements:

Anyone that purchases Candy Spelling's book should be stoned on the spot.

Candy Spelling is a total low life and a huge freak, she thought of her kids as show ponies. If anyone killed Aaron it was her, Tori loved him endlessly! Tori, he loved you and none of the blame can be placed with you. My mom said the same thing about me, that I killed my dad but it was her! What a sad excuse for a human Candy is, I almost vomit when I think of her! Lady, you are the one missing out by hurting Tori and shoving your grandkids aside. You'll die a lonely and miserable person!

I agree with Cinsere. As my father who's been a dignified attorney for 50 years, a lawyer says, "99% of the time there's is truth spoken on both sides." Conflicts/hurts/misunderstandings start and then the recipient retaliates, misinterprets, and often goes into their own world of needing to disconnect to survive. Speaking from experience, as I look back on the lifelong disconnect I have with one of my sisters, I have recently begun to analyze things as if I were here. While I have my side, she also has a fair and legitimate side though I think much of what she thinks I have done to hurt her was not intended. Once things escolate, it doesnt matter what the other person does, it will not be right and will be taken as offence.

If Candy Spelling is capable of saying such a vicious, hateful thing about her own daughter, then it is entirely conceivable (and quite likely in view of recent comments)that Candy is the one who made sure her husband had no contact with their daughter. Manipulative, jealous women will do those sorts of things to maintain their control. Is is horrifying to think she would do that to both her husband and daughter? Yes, but by her own words, she clearly has the character for it.
