Amidst growing controversy that AT&T helped to rig this season's American Idol results, the show wants to make it clear:
Kris Allen is the champion.
Earlier today Fox, Idol producers 19 Entertainment and FremantleMedia issued the following statement:
"Fox and the producers of American Idol are absolutely certain that the results of this competition are fair, accurate and verified. Kris Allen is, without a doubt, the American Idol. We have an independent third-party monitoring procedure in place to ensure the integrity of the voting process. In no way did any individuals unfairly influence the outcome of the competition."
Kris Allen won American Idol. Up next? A debut album.
AT&T also defended itself:
"Last week, countless parties were held in homes, bars, and other public places across America to watch the American Idol finale. In Arkansas, a few local AT&T employees were invited to attend two local watch parties organized by the community. Caught up in the enthusiasm of rooting for their hometown contestant, they brought a small number of demo phones with them and provided texting tutorials to those who were interested.
"Going forward, we will make sure our employees understand our sponsorship celebrates the competition, not individual contestants. That said, it's quite a leap to suggest that a few individuals could have impacted the final results."

All people have to do is go to Dial Idol and see that Kris Allen was ahead in phone call busy signals in a sampling of people who use Dial Idol, and if you are a true Idol fan you know what Dial Idol is.

You can see that Kris was still ahead of Adam in a phone call sampling, and that is not text messaging. So there you go. Kris was the winner of American Idol.

Everybody that watched the show knows that Adam Lambert clearly...does not need the American Idol title to become a superstar! He owned that stage every week....he gave us a show.... we should have paid for! His electrifying performances and amazing vocal skills caught everyone's attention!! He was in a league of his own...no other idol contestant has ever reached his level of star potential!!
So the question is did Kris deserve to win? I think the question wouldn't be asked if you really thought he deserved to win!
Adam Lambert is the World's Idol!!...Adam 100% deserved to win..but Kris won the American Idol title! Kris will need it more then Adam...so I am happy for Kris! He is cute, nice, & sings good!
The American Idol finale was amazing!! It wouldn't have even been worth watching...if Adam wasn't in it!! Once again he was the star of the show! Yes, I along with everyone backstage and across the world...was shocked, whe the announcement was made! Kris was good! But not anywhere close to the talents of Adam! Something smells very fishy and everybody knows it!! A true star came to life on the stage...and he captured the hearts of the world! Kris won!! How?...the truth we'll never know! Good Luck to both of them...I love the friendship they share & the good in both of them!
If I remember correctly...freedom of speech gives us the right to say what we believe! I am over it...I don't have to agree with it!!
