Adam Lambert: The Future King of Queen?

On the season finale of American Idol, Adam Lambert and Kris Allen teamed up for a memorable rendition of "We are the Champions."

Might this duet have been a preview of things to come for the popular runner-up?

In an interview with Rolling Stone, Queen guitarist Brian May sounded open to the possibility of Lambert actually joining the classic rock band.

"Amongst all that furor, there wasn't really a quiet moment to talk. But [drummer Roger Taylor] and I are definitely hoping to have a meaningful conversation with him at some point. It's not like we, as Queen, would rush into coalescing with another singer just like that. It isn't that easy. But I'd certainly like to work with Adam. That is one amazing instrument he has there."

Before any decision can be made on Lambert's future, he must first complete this summer's 50-city tour with his fellow Top 10 finalists.

But, when that is over, do you think he should join Queen?

Adam joinging up with Queen? It's totalling up to him I mean he'll be the one singing right? Group or no group Adam has that ability to go either way and what music celeberty does that? Hello Fergie is well known from Black eye Pea still able to perform with them as well as make her own solo album. In saying that Adam is perfectly a star already. You ROCK!!!

YES! I think he should join Queen even for just a guest spot. He's amazingly talented but regardless, Adam is a star.

No.. i don't want him to be with queen.. maybe a couple songs are okay.just temporally. but to be the member? it's a big honor for adam but i prefer him to do solo.. more freedom.. ADAM! whatever you sing in your album even if it's ABC song, i will definitely buy it!!

Yes, definitely! I don't think he is going to suffer at all by NOT winning AI. I had never listened to either one of them til the last night. I was extremely impressed with Adam singing with Queen. Of course, there is only one QUEEN, but George Michael and Paul Rodgers either toured or temporarily fronted the band. I think it would be awesome!!

Gross. Never did like Queen. Guess that won't change any.

A one-night concert with the queen will be good right after his AI tour to keep the momentum. This will help him promote his records in the future. But I'd rather have him doing solo for a while then just do some guest appearances with the queen.
