Zac Efron Thanks Tweens, Mocks High School Musical
Zac Efron took a large step toward mainstream fame last night.
The actor hosted Saturday Night Live, poking a bit of fun at his young fan base and the Disney franchise that made him famous.
Without crossing any lines, or biting the proverbial hands that have fed him, Efron seemed relaxed and hilarious during his stints on stage.

I agree. Zac was a real pr -- great comic timing and delivery of generally mediocre writing. The HSM parody was the best, but I have to say he saved the really bad Kathie Lee Gifford skit and the awful Gilly skit. AS Cody he mugged just enough but not over the top like Kristen Wiig (who should be shot as Gilly);and his German exchange student was the only funny part of the Gilly skit. Unlike the regulars, he rarely looked at cue cards. Kudos to Efron. If anything was amiss last night, he had nothing to do with it. He was rock solid!
