Susan Boyle to Avoid Dentist, Hairdresser
Thanks to her performance on Britain's Got Talent, Susan Boyle has become a global sensation.
Over 12 million viewers have watched the 48-year old singer perform "I Dreamed a Dream," from the musical Les Miserables, on YouTube.
As a result, many might expect the burgeoning star to undergo a makeover, prettying up her frumpy look to fit into the mainstream culture's idea of celebrity.
Do you think Susan Boyle needs a makeover?
But judge Amanda Holden told Great Britain's The Daily Mirror that she'll do everything in her power to maintain Boyle's unique look.
"I won't let Simon Cowell take her to his dentist and I certainly won't let her near his hairdresser," Holden said. "[Boyle] needs to stay exactly as she is because that's the reason we love her... the minute we turn her into a glamour-puss is when it's spoiled."
Fair enough. But we wanna know if the recent fanfare has helped Boyle - who admitted during her audition that she's "never been kissed" - find a companion?
"No comment," she giggled, in response to that question on Friday's Today show.
Meanwhile, we've uncovered another, sterling rendition of a song by Boyle. Listen to "Cry Me a River" right now!

I would think that by now most of us know that physical appearance and musical talent do not go hand-in-hand. All one needs to do is look at the train wrecks that appear on each season of "American Idol" - most of them are there because they are either crazy or beautiful. Why does this woman need to look a certain way in order to share her gift with the world? I hope she stays exactly as she is, and I wish her all the success in the world. She would be one of the few celebrities who gets by on talent alone, not hyped-up image.

I think she definitely needs a makeover. Not like gleaming white teeth and perfect hair, just maybe make her look more feminine.
