Ana, you don't want to be judged, yet you are judging everyone posting here and Miss Prejean extremely harshly. Like I always say, if it weren't for double standards, liberals would have no standards at all. Look at all the hate you're spewing at her just because you disagree! Would you call Barack Obama and Bill & Hillary Clinton and the 70% of Californians that are also in favor of traditional marriage a "stupid b1tch"? Just as you advocate a relativistic "morality" that affects others, we (Christians, Jews, etc) vote and advocate for policies that we believe in for the betterment of our country. Seems you just can't stomach the fact that people would hold a different worldview than you, that's sad.
To Carrie Prejean:
Thank you for standing up not only for your beliefs but for the beliefs of so many other Americans. In the end, you are the winner!! Stick to your beliefs and don't compromise them so you can be "politically correct".
Well,Ana, you need to read the Declaration of Independence and the Constitution. There are numerous references to God in these documents. The founders said that the government cannot make any law restricting the practice of religion OR instituting a state religion.
Why is Donald Trump bringing in judges who want to make this event about politics? That is the bigger question.
If she answered the question to Mr Hilton's satisfaction, she would be lauded, but instead, he asked her opinion and she gave it to him. Good for her.
It's so amazing how ignorant everyone is. This country was not founded on christian beliefs. Our forefather's also believed church should be separated from state. They believed everyone should be free to believe what they want. Religion should be private and not affect the lives of others because of your own ego and believe that you are good when in reality you are a hypocrit and don't even understand the religion you claim.
Miss california is a stupid b1tch but what surprises me more is that we actually believe Miss america is smart now!? When did this happen? Who cares what bimbo won.. it's all about eye candy and amusement anyway.
"To discriminate against a thoroughly upright citizen because he belongs to some particular church, or because, like Abraham Lincoln, he has not avowed his allegiance to any church, is an outrage against the liberty of conscience, which is one of the foundations of American life." - Roosevelt's letter on religious liberty.
There you have it folks. Miss USA will always be chosen on political and religious viewpoints. Forget the talent and beauty portion of the show. I applaud Carrie Prejean for standing firm to her opinion no matter what the cost. It is no longer popular being a Christian in America. This country has largely lost its moral compass. To Carrie Prejean, I say thank you and God bless you. I found your courage inspirational.
I think its great that she stood up for the values that this country was founded on(Christian Beliefs). The question is why do they have a gay man judging womens beauty?? This is like having a vegitarian judging a barbeque ribs contest!
are you kidding? i would nail either of them
I totally agree with Kate!
So if you don't have the same political views as a judge, then you should not win? How is that fair? What if the judge was an NRA member and the contestant was for heavy gun control? What then?
