Chuck Heath: Levi Johnston is a Deadbeat Dad

Sarah Palin might be able to see Russia from her house.

But can she also see what her ongoing family drama is doing to her political future?

Palin's father, Chuck Heath, is the latest to get involved in the back-and-forth between Palin's camp and Levi Johnston. Heath said his granddaughter's baby daddy "has not contributed anything" to Tripp, who was born last December.

A sign of things to come? Bristol was already holding babies away from Levi at the Republication National Convention.

Johnston, of course, has been making the media rounds.

First, he appeared on The Tyra Banks Show and claimed that the Alaska Governor likely knew he was banging Bristol; then, he went on The Early Show and said the Palin family won't let him be alone with his son.

"I don't agree with what he's doing right now," Heath told Us Weekly of Johnston's press tour. "It's not right. He's broke, so he's trying to capitalize on this. I wish he’d take some of this money he’s making and buy some diapers with it."

This would all be a typical, Hollywood family feud... if it didn't prominently involved someone that was A VICE PRESIDENTIAL NOMINEE SIX MONTHS AGO AND WHO IS CONSIDERED THE REPUBLICAN FRONT-RUNNER FOR THE 2012 PRESIDENTIAL NOMINATION!!!

As such, it's downright hilarious, and sort of depressing for the country.
