Ellen Pompeo and Chris Ivery: Expecting!
by Free Britney at .Grey's Anatomy star Ellen Pompeo and her husband, music producer Chris Ivery, are going to be starting a family together, her rep, Jennifer Allen, confirms.
"It's great news," says Allen. "They're ecstatic."
The actress, 39, and Chris Ivery, 41, were married by New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg in a low-key ceremony on her birthday in November 2007.
They got engaged on her birthday exactly a year earlier in 2006.
The couple, both natives of the Boston area, met in a Los Angeles grocery store in 2003 and began dating six months later. The rest is history.
Ellen Pompeo, who's recently been spotted shopping for baby gear around L.A., is not the only Grey's Anatomy doctor having a baby in real life.
Chyler Leigh, who plays Pompeo's half-sister on the hospital drama, and her husband, Nathan West, are expecting her third child, a girl, in May.

Omg! the show grey's anatomy is amazing and i actually thought that ellen was with dr.sheperd but nevermind that ellen you have a very succeful husband anyways
Chris does not pass himself off as a music guy, he does have a successful career. They are a beautiful couple who truly love each other and I guess that some folks out there find that hard to swallow.
He met Ellen long before she hit the jackpot. He is not a freeloader, but a man who loves Ellen for who she is. Apparently she herself is very aware of that, too. Cheers to Chris for hanging in there.
