Carrie Prejean is a homophobic piece of white trash who exudes the hatred and idiocy of the simple-minded "bible-belt" religious freaks of nature who dare to call themselves normal and loving. You homophobes are all hateful and morally retarded creatures of the lowest order. This country stands for equality for individuals of all orientations, NOT religious bigots who have their "moral" head up their "moral" anal cavity! Gay people do NOT need to change or be "fixed" or even rationalized. You homophobes are selfish, self-centered and fearful people who need professional help. You will pay the price for your ignorance and pitifully demeaning behavior!
Go to hell Carrie Prejean and take your piss-poor followers with you!

Identical twins have grown up one gay, one straight, so we know it's not genetic. That leaves some combination of two possibilities: 1) homosexuality is the result of formative life experiences which we have yet to identify and understand 2) homosexuality is a conscious choice, or at the very least, a passive submittance to an urge/instinct.
In this way, she is absolutely right. It is about choice.
Much in the way that we may be tempted to publicly slander and harass someone who makes us angry, the choice to morally override an urge, or to give into it, makes us who we are. Of course, "doing the right thing" depends on what your moral code is...
Now people can argue day and night about whether homosexuality is morally right or wrong... but if it's something you can choose, unlike your gender or your race, then according to the constitution it's not a legal discrimination issue ... at least not anymore than we discriminate against kleptomaniacs who steal versus those with th

After reading all the comments --just wanted to add one
1)I do not believe that being homosexual is a choice -- all the evidence I have read says -- we are born with that predisposition. It's one of those facts of life. But so is heterosexuality.
2) The key to understanding is mutual respect.
3) Namecalling is the lowest form of criticism and serves only to degrade the person using those derogatory, biased, bigotted terms. It is also illegal under the Human Rights Acts of vituatlly every state, province, country, etc.
If you want to make a point that persuades people to support your view, don't do what Perez did -- Carrie does not deserve any of the filthy derogatory, sexist and biggoted terms hurled at her. I do point out that there are many "male" derrogatory, denegrating and bigoted terms that can be applied to Perez. Just go down to any ghetto -- or any "office" for that matter to hear what people have to say about either gender homosexuals -- to turn around and apply it

There are many things I agree with when it comes to Carrie:
1) The question Perez asked was loaded - politically, value based, morally and religiously based. Why on earth would politics, religion, values and morals come into a pagent of this kind. The contest is not intended as a vehicle for political propaganda from any party or belief.
2) Perez showed not merely disrespect but Sexual Harassment in his comments about Carrie. The term "B...." is vile, vicious and filled with discrimination and hate. He above all should understand what discrimination is about.
3) I have nothing but respect for Carrie for going to church and having values and morals. Very few people in the Millenial generation have been inside a church, read a Bible or even had the option of choosing to do so.
4) I have nothing but disrespect and disgust with Perez for being a bigot and for sexually harassing a candidate. He misused his position as a judge to bring forward his own agenda. He should be disquali

pedophiles are so diffrent then being gay. gays are with someone that has the same feelings as them. pedophiles are someone raping children. yeah thats how they feel but they are also forcing someone to do something they dont want to do. and the reason its rude that she says she would have one if she answerd diffrently is because she wouldnt answer diffrent. shes said time and time again she wouldnt change her answer. good for her but thats why she lost because she dosnt know how to answer a question correctly. they didnt want her to say yes or no. they have said how they wanted her to answer it. and she say no she wouldnt change it cuz it goes agents what she believes. they didnt want her to say yes to gay marrige. and dont sit here and say ur real mature for what you say. how mature of you to put gays with pedophiles.

I think that we all have a right to our opinion, but when our opinion hurts people, I think its better that we keep them to ourselves. This is whats wrong with the world today, everybody thinks that they know how the world SHOULD be, but who does really? Why cant we just love one another for our similarities as well as our differences? Is she just so perfect that she has the right to discriminate on other people? She sucks, and if she thinks her shit dont stink she needs a reality check ASAP!!!! And I think that coffee date with Perez with do the trick! I think she should go (and leave the preacher home, because if he/she is of love they wont agree with her) and maybe she would chnge her mind. The world is changing and we should be able to embrace it and change with it!!!

By that logic, pedophiles can claim they don't have a choice since they say they cannot help who they are attractive to. Likewise, adulterers. Or polygamists.
Not saying that gays do these kinds of things typically (given that straights and gays have folks like that), but my point is that attraction to another is no proof the person does not have a choice.

And did you miss the part he called a cunt, bitch, etc.? Oh, I forgot, you share Perez's maturity level.
"hahaha you dont go to hell for having lunch with someone thats gay hunny."
If she believe that she would outright refuse, not make condition of having a pastor present. No logic to your bashing of her.
"why in the world would you need a pastor. and shes says she would have won if it wasnt for that question. wow thats kind rude for the girl who did win."
Well, then you are going to have to say Perez Hilton was rude then. He said right after the contest she would have won if she answered the question the way he wanted her to. Likewise, Shanna Moakler, another judge, said she lost because she did not show compassion in her answer (wha
