Carrie Prejean: No One is Born Gay

by at . Comments

Whether she wants it or not, Carrie Prejean has become a national celebrity.

The reigning Miss California's answer to a question about gay marriage has prompted a number of stars to speak out on the topic, while her references to the bible have sparked a (hopefully healthy) debate among The Hollywood Gossip readers.

Now, in a new interview, Prejean speaks out on a number of topics. Here's a summary of what she had to say:

  • Perez Hilton had a hidden agenda at the pageant. Carrie said the self-serving blogger "wanted to go out there and bash me and say things that were very hurtful."
  • She would only have coffee with Hilton, who has extended the invitation, if a pastor came along with her.
  • She would express her same opinion again, given the chance to do it all over again.
  • She doesn't see gay marriage being made legal, on a national level, any time soon.
  • People are not born gay. It's a "behavior that develops over time."

Agree with her thoughts? Disagree? Leave a comment below and let's continue to discuss this important issue!

She was asked for her opinion and gave it--should have been end of story. No one cares what she thinks about gay marriage. Now the religious right and social conservatives are using her as their spokesperson--they deserve her because she sounds like a real airhead. She lacks the sophistication, intelligence and good communication skills to represent our state (CA).

I 100% agree with carrie! God created us and it says in the bible Leviticus 18:22 "Men you must not have sexual relations with a man as you would with a woman and woman you must not have sexual relations with a woman as you would with a man. That is a hateful sin.
I am a christian, and i thought that America was built on the bible. That is why the pilgrims left England in the first place so that we could worchip GOD, and now we are disobeying him right and left. Does anyone know what happend to the other countries that disobeyed God in the bible...? They got distroyed! I am so proud of Carrie that she stoud up for what she beleives in that takes alot of guts to do that and i say way to go carrie i am a supporter of u and your ways!

the vile left demands "tolerance" for people that want to sleep on the street, have sex with animals, whatever else. but if someone has an opinion that differs from their opinion, they'll skin you alive. they are the most self-centered, vile, full of s**t people on the planet earth. period.

Carrie stated her opinion, she was right according to the dictionary, marriage is between a man & a woman. She was 100% correct based on Almighty God's view of marriage, & since He is the one Who created man & instituted marriage, He has the final say. This is America, she has a right to speak her opinion just as those who violate God's law have the right to speak theirs. Jesus Christ is the one who will make the decision as to who is correct. Are you prepared for that day? I think Perez and others will be in for a big surprise. God nuked Sodom & Gomorah for the sin of homosexuality, perhaps those attacking Carrie should read that story, it's in the Bible. Don't launch hate mail at me, I won't be back to read it.

I don't fully agree with Prejean. although I think she is beautiful, should have won, and is very smart for her age. I believe many people are born with a strong propensity to be gay--in a sense, sort-of-gay--because of curses, in particular generational familial curses. The carriers of curses are demons. To be fair to gays, demons influence many other vices besides gay activity. Gays, as well as most people, are in need of exorcisms, self or assisted. Jesus came to destroy the works of the devil.

"Gay is not a choice. No one would choose to constantly be ridiculed, chastised, and told they're going to hell. Heterosexuals did not choose to be straight and homosexuals did not choose to be gay." Get real, half the gay orgs on the planet think it is a choice, the entire basis of the GLF was 'will to power'. The being born gay folks, were treated like a genetic disease. Gay Liberation was not about having a medical excuse. What we have is McCarthyism, the gay Stasi, thugs, trampling over free speech.

Basically she is a cunt and she should keep her shitty attitude to herself.

Enough about prejeans already. We need to focus on the winner. Did everyone focus on Bush rather than Obama, despite all the ridiculous "judgements" Bush spewed? God bless the beauty pageants these days who also take into consideration a contestants inner beauty, as well. Pejeans sowed discrimination, and thus reaped discrimination ... it's simple as that. As she gets educated, she will realize that no one chooses to be hated, discriminated, disowned, stoned, life. She spoke her truth, but also need to listen to the millions of truths spoken around the world ... GAYS ARE BORN GAY!

Although identical twins have the same genotype, or DNA, they have different phenotypes, meaning that the same DNA is expressed in different ways. Traits determined by phenotype, such as fingerprints and physical appearance, are the result of "the interaction of the individuals genes and the developmental environment in the uterus." Thus, a DNA test can't determine the difference between identical twins, while a simple fingerprint can. So, DNA can be the same while its expression can vary. That's why identical twins do not look exactly alike and why they do not behave exactly the same. Plus, we are discovering new things about genes every day. To make the damning assumption that being gay is a choice based on the story of straight/ gay identical twins is ludicrous. My hope is that people will stop judging other people based on their lifestyles.

To "kate" - You make it sound like being against gay marriage is just some opinion, and anyone that opposes it is throwing a tantrum and not being respectful.
But this isn't a question of one's favorite color. It's not a matter of "opinion" when latent racism/sexism/denial of rights is involved.
Based on your logic, women can't get upset when someone believes they don't deserve equal pay in the workplace, nor should African-Americans have fought for civil rights because that was just a tantrum thrown in response to the opinions of others, right?

Carrie Prejean Quotes

I think it's great that Americans are able to choose one or the other. We live in a land that you can choose same-sex marriage or opposite marriage and, you know what, in my country and my family I think that I believe that a marriage should be between a man and a woman. No offense to anyone out there but that's how I was raised and that's how I think it should be between a man and a woman.

Carrie Prejean

Marriage is good. There is something special about unions of husband and wife. Unless we bring men and women together, children will not have mothers and fathers.
