Does she believe in slavery too? interracial marriage? We don't talk about those anymore. How dare gays think they have a right to live their lives? Everyone has a right to put them down and ruin their lives! SO their partner can die in a hospital without them by their side because they can't get married.. so what if they work hard to make a life together and then get screwed out of all the property because they can't get married.. so what if their kids lose out on support and their one parent now owes money to taxes because she's not considered a real spouse.. so what? It's just an opinion right.. no one gets hurts.. so what if that kid contemplating suicide is wondering if they can live their life proud with all the hate that exist.. so what! it's just an opinion and you all have the right to express your opinion and affect lives that have NOTHING TO DO WITH YOU!! Gays are not going away you ignorant b@st@rds! they are children of god just like everyone else. What would you do if som

Carrie Prejean is Miss USA in my heart for answering a question honestly that should not have been ask. If you want to be gay, be gay, but don't make an issue over your sexual preferences.

This is still America and we all have a right to believe and state what we believe. It's called free speech, moron. I have the free speech to call you a moron. You are discriminating against someone because they do not believe like you do. So not only are you a moron, but a racist.

Why does everyone keep talking like marriage was exclusive to Christianity? I know of many people that got married and never stepped into a church. It's stupid to use Christianity as a reason to be against gay marriage. Face it, this is not a Christian country. This is a country where people choose what religion to follow and how to follow it.

perez hilton was LITERALLY handing out tee-shirts with barack obama's face on them during the election, and obama was very clear about his stand on gay-marraige. he's the politician, she's just a pageant contestant. i could understand why he'd be upset if she said anything mean spirited but she didnt, she was asked her opinion and she gave it. everyone, including you, is entitled to express there opinion. a question like that should have never been asked if he wasn't prepared to hear someone else's opinion.

She believes the same as fellow Christian Obama who is against gay marriage.
Ugly Perez Hilton should go marry a ham sandwich.

Religion has no place in politics? Nonsense.
Religion has no place in government.
Government has no place in religion.
It's called separation of church and state.
It's not called separation of citizens from their beliefs.
You folks are highly confused.

it wasnt because she was being honest, it was because she hurt many people's feeling by saying that. yes, she is entitled to her opinion, but there are definitely better ways to voice it. there is no right or wrong here. she decided to say that, and she lost. there is no regret, just unfortunate.

I'm not shocked at all that Perez asked her for an opinion, didn't get the one HE wanted, and cussed her out... Its just the state of the world that its okay for gays to discriminate against Christians for their opinion. Welcome to the world of the pariah

1. She didn't really answer the question. She was asked to elaborate why she believed or didn't believe that same-sex marriage should be legalized.
2. What is this "gay agenda" everyone keeps talking about? All that most gay people want is the same right that the rest of us have: to marry the person that they love.
3. John: It doesn't make sense to say that people are being intolerant towards her because she expressed intolerant views. That's like saying people are intolerant towards racists.

I'm pretty sure that if Mr. Hilton had asked her if she thought everyone should be gay, and she said "no", he probably would have found a way to string her up by her words as well. His personal attack on her intelligence (apparently for mistakenly assuming honesty is the best policy) is only trumped in its disgracefulness by the sheer fact that a hateful gossip-monger would ever be permitted to be in a position of influence in a competition such as this. Shame on the pageant committee for (purposefully or inadvertantly, doesn't matter) creating this completely unnecessary and distracting hailstorm of ill will where there should be celebration of outward and inward beauty instead.

Miss California has read and believed her Bible, and stood her ground at the right time.
Jesus did the same thing when he was questioned, he stood for the truth.
Thank you,Carrie, your a lovely girl and I hope to meet you in the kingdom of God someday.

(Also, I agree with the person who commented: "Why the hell should she explain her belief to you ar to anyone else?")
Congrats, Carrie Prejean!
You did the right thing (AND, u did in the right, gentle way). You lost THIS crown, but your honesty & your correct moral stand will win you THE ultimate Crown, the only one that truly matters... Jesus warned us that speaking His Truth will result in persecution in this world, but will result in us obtaining the Crown that He won for us.
By the way, I believe Carrie did NOT bash gays or anyone, in her very gently, fairly phrased reply. I agree with the many people who are angry about people bashing gays: i.e., I agree that in the process of speaking out for the True Definition of what Marriage really is (between Man and Woman), one should not bash those who go against this defintion. Carrie HAS correctly spoken about True Marriage, WITHOUT speaking disparagingly against gays/anyone. Hence there's no need for anyone
I am so proud of Carrie for being honest and expressing her views no matter what the backlash is. Good for you Carrie, you represent the majority of America. Glad she didn't jump on the bandwagon of supporting same-sex marriage just to win a crown. And if her answer did have anything to do with the results, SHAME! SHAME! SHAME! on the Miss America pageant association.

It's shameful that her answer was openly stated as a reason for her to not win..disgraceful!!! She just answered the question that was asked of her, she didn't distribute pamphlets!! That was a set up.

On one hand she is say " my country and my family I think that I believe that a marriage should be between a man and a woman." Then later she said my sister believe in same sex marriage. Get it right. All I would to say to her, you do not know what the furture whole for you. If your child told you he or she was gay, how would act? You need to watch a Prayers for Bobby.
