This is a sad, sad day for the Bachelor!! Shame on the producers and the network broadcasting such a hurtful "After the Rose" show that knowingly caused such pain and humiliation to Melissa. I was appalled that they allowed Jason to break-up with Melissa on national television - absolutely horrible. The grace and dignity that she displayed shows what a wonderful person Melissa truly is!! Hopefully she will find her prince charming soon - she truly deserves a better man than Jason. I would bet money that the relationship between Jason and Molly will be short lived. It didn't take a lot of intelligence to see that Molly cares only about Molly. And as for Jason....what an absolute "chump" he turned out to be.

I think the outrage is because Melissa was and is a classy woman, light years ahead of that shallow Jason. Last night's show revealed how unintelligent he is..."her and I"...never expressing new thoughts, only the worn out ones used on the show.... "amazing", I'm falling in love with you....and worst of all, when he couldn't articulate one darn thing, even during the taping, he leaned over to kiss whomever. Melissa showed her strength and poise; I only wish she could have seen the intimidation on this face when she was responding to him. He looked like a little high school boy!!! Melissa is a sound individual, growing into her own...and yes, as she expressed to her Mom, "she had let people to it to her"...and she is now past that. Most of America could see she was genuine, loving, something Jason could have never related to. He is too immature for a real person like Melissa. He has made the right choice though, Molly! During the show, you will note he accepted her advances and

I had read last week on one of the blogs for bachelor spoiler exactly what had happened. I told my friends and my daughter who also watch the show and none of them agreed that would be what happened they all thought he would pick Deanna. The blog also state that they had information from a inside source from the network stating that the network told Jason to pick the girl that he didn't want and let the one he wanted to marry go. They thought it would make good television. I guess they were right. We will all tune in again tonight to see what happens. I just loved Jason. I felt so bad for him last year when Deanna dumped him. I just thought he was a super neat guy and easy on the eyes. However, there is no excuse for what he did to Melissa. I realize that this is a television program and he signed a contract that this would all be public but the break up didn't have to be. First of all he knew that Melissa said she had some bad break up's in the past. He could have broke it

Take a look at the idiot Mesnick. A nice looking man, seemingly nice family, he is well spoken, kind, and on and on. Why would that guy have to go on a tv show to find a woman? And if he cared for his little boy, why would he look on a tv show for his soul mate, a mother for his child? You will find that something is wrong with that guy, something so major that Mellisa will be thanking her lucky stars for getting rid of him.

I saw right thru Jason in the very beginning. When he took the blonde to Las Vagas and he commented on how he liked the fact that everyone looked at her and he felt special because of that. Ego-maniac! Come on. He was looking for a trophy wife. Thirty-two years old, divorced with a child and you want a 24 year old who has never been married. Who knows whether she has ever had a serious relationship. I can see why he is divorced. I'd like to know the details of his divorce. The whole ending sucks and I am like everyone else, I won't watch Bachelor again. Wasn't a fan to begin with, am really not now. Puke, Puke, Puke!

I sat there last night watching in pure disgust over the behavior of Jason. What a low life piece of scum he is. The balls he had, to think it was okay to treat someone like that. How short of a memory span he has. Didn't Deanna pretty much do the same thing to him? Poor little Ty, getting close to Melissa for the six weeks they all spent together of the holidays. Not only Jason did you destroy Melissa's self esteem, what about your son question of, "Daddy, where is Mellissa?" You suck Jason, I sit here shaking my head in pure disappointment of you. ABC you also should know better then to endorse this behavior. We are no longer fans.............Any comment Jason?

I really thought Jason and Melissa were a perfect LOOKING couple. How pathetic how he kept attempting to save himself at the final rose part 1, by saying how he gave his all etc. NO-obviously you were lying the entire time to Melissa. Giving your all means being honest about how you are feeling. Melissa had no idea what was going on with him in his cry baby head. Molly may be better for him 'cause he needs someone strong to -- hang on. Molly will SOON find out he's got a lot of sappy cry baby baggage she can do without! A lot of girl in that boy!

JASON and MOLLY are both scums of the earth.
All those who are saying ABC made him do it for the ratings, then let me tell you something NO ONE can make a 32 year old do anything. Its not like he was at gun point. We're talking about a stupid show, I am sure if he really wanted to he could have denied it and not do it on national TV. But instead he chose to do what he did and that's what makes him so WRONG.

What a joke! I cannot believe I wasted 3 hours of my evening watching a scam! Deanna's performance was so fake and scripted, it makes you wonder how much she got paid for her lousy performance. The only other worst acting was Molly's so-called suprise last night.
Jason has made fools out of women. His insincerity is obvious, esp. his crying jag. What real man does that?!!!
Molly thinks she won, she just did Melissa the biggest favor of her life. The only real winner is Jason's X-wife.
What a crappy example to set for his son one day when he watches the video of his father on this show.
I WAS a new viewer of "The Bachelor", this is my first and last season. C,mon girls, are we REALLY that desperate in America that we will sink to new lows while letting men get what they want. Let's all band together and not give them what they want so easily.

Really good TV was when Melissa's parents didn't want to be involved in the whole being on camera and exposing ones selves to the whole world. I'm sure Melissa has a fine family and the whole bachelor farce they didn't want to be there.

I think Jason could have chosen a more classy approach to breaking up with Melissa (like in private, which is the proper way most people do it). I was humiliated for her! Then Molly comes out & in matters of minutes she & Jason couldn't keep their hands off each other. Is he for real? Jason said that after the show the chemistry just wasn't there...WOW! It's called real life you idiot! - away from the fantasy world that the show makes it out to be. My husband has always thought the show degrades women... I'm starting to agree.

Jason should be arrested if not for breaking an engagement contract witnessed by millions of viewers, then for his bad acting...those fake tears were deplorable! Why did Melissa return the ring? She could have sold it on ebay for a little fortune.
I really liked Jason and thought he had his act together, I was wrong! I can't believe someone, much less someone who has been hurt on the show before, could do that to Melissa! I think Mel was right when she called him a BASTARD. He proved that he has no tact! He would rather break Mel's heart on national TV and make some extra dough than care for her and tell her off camera?! I mean, come on... grow a set! The fact that he TRIED to cry and make it all about him just pissed me off. What a jerk! NO ONE feels sorry for you, Jason! If he and Molly want people to believe that they weren't together at all during that six weeks then they shouldn't be so obvious! She KNEW and yes they were together... many times, I'm sure! She was way to easy the entire season. Also, all of America caught her in a bold faced lie last night when she said "Melissa is a great person and I have no doubt that she will love Jason endlessly" when six weeks prior she told Jason, "I think you are making a big mistake

To Jason's brothers who said " We're tired of seeing our brother get hurt..." What do you think of your brother now? Is it enjoyable to watch him hurt someone else so cruelly. To Chris, your explanation neither enlightened me or made me feel any better. This guy is a real JERK! You seemed all smiles when he and Molly were lovin' it up on the set. Ah, the things we do for ratings---not love!

ABC sure pulled the average watchers into last nights big bacheleor blunder, I think they insulted peoples intelligence by fooling them thinking Molly and Jason haven't seen each other. I always thought these type of shows are finely orchestrated. I do feel that someone looks like they are terrible hurt but in actuallity; its no different than a well rehearsed soap opera................must admit it worked

What a freakin joke. I will not be watching the show any longer. Jason is an a!$ if you ask me. He wanted to have his cake and eat it too! He had all of these women throwing themselves at him nonstop, jumping off bridges, riding in helicopters, airplanes, etc. and after it all came to an end and he only had Melissa and not all the glitz and glamour and couldn't handle commitment. HE obviously does not respect the sanctuary of a engagement/marriage. MELISSA YOU ARE AWSOME and one day some lucky guy will wake up and see it.

Wow, talking about keeping it intimate....with the whole country watching...LOL!!!!!
I was not shocked with this outcome with his dramatic performance after he sent Molly packing.
The final rose all seemed so fake / planned with Melissa.
I hope Jason is protecting his son from all this drama!!!
Reality Check
March 3rd, 2009 3:45 PM
Ok the real life Reality to all this is: The Bachelor has far less of a Happy Ever After story in matching couples into the sunset. So the REALITY is; many of us were expecting for Jason to pick a “winner”. We then were expecting to place our head on the pillow last night with that real possibility, fully knowing in our hearts we would be reading very soon, Breakup news in the grocery checkout line. However Shame on ABC for taking this to the level of humiliating Mellissa like this, NO ONE wants to witness this type of real life emotional heart stabbing for entertainment, what were they thinking? ABC, please go back and read the Walt Disney “Cinderella Story” That is where you will learn how to keep not only your views but your sponsors happy.

When I watched the Bachelorette where DeAnna Pappas rejected Jason, I felt so sorry for Jason. DeAnna allowed Jason to go on his knee before rejecting him. I felt that she humiliated Jason then. What Jason did to Melissa on National tv is much more humiliating. Jason Mesnick, if you ever stumble upon my comment, I would want to say to you from the bottom of my heart that you are a total jerk and an A-HOLE. I feel sorry for Ty. You are exposing him to your kind of rotten low life. What kind of a role model are you going to be towards Ty? Your family who appeared to be all so caring towards you spoke about how concerned they are for you. I would like to hear what they have to say about your demeanor now - scum ball. To be honest, if I was a member of your family... Firstly, I would find it a disgrace to call you family. Secondly, I'd be concerned for the girls you date and not the other way round - You Bastard!!
