After a two months-long vacation in St. Lucia, Amy Winehouse arrived at London's Gatwick Airport on Sunday, with her sights set on a new home.
According to a source, she'll be living the suburban life - miles away from the gritty area of Camden where her apartment was ransacked in January.
Winehouse was trying to sneak past waiting celebrity gossip photographers by using a back exit where her car was waiting, but when a snapper caught up with her she was more than happy to stop and pose and have a short chat.
The Grammy Award-wining star said that she couldn't believe that she was back in London and that she didn't realize how much she really missed it.
Of course, her return to the UK got off to a predictably shaky start after she got into an altercation on the flight home from St. Lucia. Amy Winehouse allegedly lashed out at a fellow airline passenger after "he gave her strange looks."
Sounds about right.
We're glad to have her back, although her new neighbors in the North London suburb she plans to reside in may not share that sentiment. "House prices have fallen enough without Amy Winehouse taking up residence," one told the Sun.
You know, we wondered if she'd actually have the opposite effect, but with Blake Fielder-Civil just released from prison, there's no way that's the case.
