This article sounds bogus..."ongoing and escalating abusive relationship?" That sounds like something a lawyer would say. I can believe this is not the first time, but I don't think he's been beating on her. I think they've probably had a mutually abusive relationship. I think they've, as Ne-Yo is quoted as saying, "pulled hair out of each other and kissed and made up." It's not right, but I think that's what it's been. I think they're two kids who've been operating in an adult relationship, but they are not seasoned enough to handle what that means. It saddens me that it came to violence. Somebody should have pulled their coats about six months ago. But, I think everybody was caught up in the hype. That it got to this point is sad. It's not right. Chris should not have hit Rihanna, under any circumstances. IF she hit him, he's five inches taller and 60-70 lbs bigger than she is. He could have restrained her. And we don't know what else transpired.

For all we know she could be milking this and manipulating the situation to work in her favor, (although I think that her bruised face says it all)
This probably isn’t the first time that he’s done it either. My mom only spoke up about the abuse when it was too blatant to hide, even though it had been happening for years. Light smacks here and there, bruised arms, make up does wonders! It was only when she landed in hospital that she came out with it all, all I tell you. MEN WHO HIT WOMEN R PUNKS!!! GROW A PAIR CHRIS AND OWN UP!

Tthere’s always 2 sides to a story. And all we seem to be hearing is Rihanna’s side. I personally think that there isn’t much that Chris can say to redeem himself on this, but what was Rihanna saying to provoke him like that? So he got a text from another woman, is that the end of the world? Is that something that they couldn’t have talked about? There is so much more to this story that isn’t being revealed. She must have really got stuck into him and then the guy just snapped! He’s not doing himself any favors by being silent on this either. He could have definitely just stopped and thought about it for a second before bashing her face in, but I suppose you don’t really think when you’re that angry. But now look at what he’s lost, endorsements deals, loads of cash, he’s girl, credibility, and the respect of a helava lot of peeps! All because he couldn’t take a second out to think? Why is communication so underrated these days?

Well firstly there is no excuse for domestic violence, ever. Also it it never about love and always about control. And yes you foolish, foolish girl she is not the first woman to suffer violence at the hands of a man she loves but that does not make domestic violence ok. In fact just here in the U.K over 7 women a year die due to domestic violence. If a complete and utter stranger had attacked her would you comments then be so insensitive and ill informed? I really don't think so. I don't really want to comment on her situation as it is horrendous that its being played out in the press but as a victim of domestic violence myself I felt I had to comment on these uneducated and frankly ridiculous comments here. I forgave my abuser because I thought I loved him and then he almost killed me. It is so stupid to say if you love someone you will forgive them. The only way to stop the abuse is to leave. And if this is true and he does continue as Amber suggests then God help the next victim. I

I think that it is completely wrong for a woman or a man to be violent.If u don't have a choice in the matter and someone is hurting u and theres no way around it than u have to protect yourself.We all know what happened yes she was assulted.All of the other stuff about herpes and a few other details sounds a little far fetched.Here it is this beautiful,talented woman and people are talking bad about her,this I do not understand.Especially the women or girls on here that are being so down on another female.(whats wrong with u?)Don't be mad because ur hating on her for what u don't have.
