As bad as the last week has been, Chris Brown hasn't seen the half of it.

The R&B star is being investigated for a variety of felonies, including domestic violence, assault resulting in great bodily injury and - based on specific allegations made by Rihanna - even attempted murder, an E! Online source says.

But as they build their case, the source says, prosecutors fear that making any serious felony charges against him stick could prove difficult in a case in which there are no direct witnesses other than Chris Brown and Rihanna herself.

He's accused of beating his longtime girlfriend in the early morning of February 8, causing them both to cancel scheduled Grammy performances that night.

Rihanna told cops that, as the two fought in his rented Lamborghini, Brown said to his girlfriend, "I'm going to kill you," in addition to choking and beating her.

The Barbados-born songstress, who is reportedly cooperating with the investigation, also told authorities that Brown choked her until she lost consciousness.

Brown was booked by police on suspicion of making criminal threats, but the D.A. wanted further investigation into the attack before formally pressing charges.

Zac Efron will take part in a unique song-and-dance routine at this year's Academy Awards.

Efron is appearing in his first, non-High School Musical big screen feature this April, as he stars alongside Matthew Perry in 17 Again. Think of it like Big, in reverse.

Troubled singer Amy Winehouse is looking for a house on the island she has been on since late last year as she battles heroin and crack cocaine addiction.

She was seen hunting for homes with her dad Mitch - who rushed to the island after Amy's hospitalization last weekend - looking for a little place in the sun.

The estranged wife of Blake Fielder-Civil plans to split her time between the island and another new home in the leafy suburb of Hadley Wood, North London.

A Wino pal revealed: "Mitch and Amy have been looking at property while he has been in St. Lucia. They saw a few potential places this weekend."

"Amy loves it in the Caribbean and being away from it all has helped her hugely in her fight against drugs... She has been drinking and smoking cannabis but is still a million times better than she was in Camden."

Her family think the best way to keep her out of trouble is to have a house in the suburbs and a place in the Caribbean where she can totally get away.

Note to Miley Cyrus:

Please stop pretending like you're so innocent when you're older boyfriend is grabbing his crotch and exposing his bulge in a recent photo shoot for some random magazine.

Indeed, Justin Gaston was recently photographed as part of a spread for VMAN. In the shots, the model pretends that a tennis net is Cyrus, as he straddles and thrusts his way into the spotlight.

This is a definite O-Face Hall of Fame moment...

Attractive Heroes co-stars and real-life couple Hayden Panettiere and Milo Ventimiglia announced their split this week, citing a "lifestyle conflict."

Whatever the hell that means.

It could apply to anything, but get this: according to the Chicago Sun-Times, the Halo split was caused by a pregnancy scare a few months ago.

The test was negative and Hayden was spared from joining Bristol Palin and Jamie Lynn Spears atop the list of America's hottest, famous unwed teen moms.

The whole incident apparently caused a great deal friction, and that ultimately sparked the couple's recent breakup, however. No official word on whether the Panettiere love child that wasn't belonged to Milo or Jesse McCartney.

Either way, Halo had a good run.

Embattled NFL star Michael Vick, who is already serving time on federal dogfighting charges, has been sacked again - this time by a $63,000,000,000 lawsuit.

The skinny: A South Carolina inmate who alleges the former Atlanta Falcons quarterback stole his pit bulls and sold them on eBay to buy missiles from Iran.

Jonathan Lee Riches filed the handwritten complaint over "theft and abuse of my animals" on July 23 in the U.S. District Court in Richmond, Virginia.

Riches alleges that Vick stole two white mixed pit bull dogs from his home in Holiday, Fla., and used them for dogfighting operations in Richmond.

The complaint alleges that Michael Vick sold the dogs in question on eBay and “used the proceeds to purchase missiles from the Iran government.”

Michael Vick is dogged everywhere these days. Including hilariously doctored photos.

The lawsuit goes on to allege that the disgraced athlete would need those missiles because he pledged allegiance to Al Qaeda in February of this year.

“Michael Vick has to stop physically hurting my feelings and dashing my hopes,” Riches writes in the hilarious and insane, but heartfelt complaint.

Riches wants his $63 billion "backed by gold and silver" and delivered to the front gates to the Williamsburg Federal Correctional facility in South Carolina, where he resides as an inmate, serving out a wire fraud conviction.

Good thing they requested their $63 billion settlement be backed by gold and silver. Securities and bonds are just too risky in this economic climate.

In the aftermath of the alleged beating at the hands of Chris Brown that left her badly injured, Rihanna's family is reeling, having never seen it coming.

Several family members have spoken out from her native country of Barbados, where the singer traveled after the violet incident two Sundays ago.

Brown "flew so far under everyone's radar that we just didn't think he was that [abusive] type," a relative tells People magazine in its new cover story.

Chris was arrested February 8 for allegedly assaulting Rihanna in Los Angeles.

He was booked on suspicion of criminal threats, having (according to her) told Rihanna he would kill her in addition to leaving her bruised and unconscious.

He has not been seen since, but issued an apology through a spokesman, saying he sought therapy. Rihanna was said to be unmoved by the vague statement.

Brown will likely face charges from the L.A. District Attorney. The question is what kind - criminal threats carry a longer sentence, but are more difficult to prove, so some believe a felony assault / battery charge is much more likely.

The turn of events comes as a shock to Rihanna's family. "[Chris] was always looking after her needs," says another relative, "making sure she was happy."

Rihanna, who turns 21 on Friday, and Brown, 19, were a "perfect match," an MTV veejay who knows both music stars said. Now their future together is unknown.

But as far as her father, Ronald Fenty, is concerned, his daughter should "move on." A relative agrees: "I don't want her to go back to him. I don't think anyone does."

Adult video distributor Red Light District has announced that a second Joanie Laurer sex tape is on the way. This sequel strikes us as a worse idea than The Pink Panther 2.

"Joanie is a huge celebrity that crosses many markets," said David Joseph, president of Red Light District. "The first movie continues to sell extremely well and the prospect of selling another one was a no-brainer."

Red Light District is also responsible for distributing the Paris Hilton, Dustin Diamond and Amy Fisher sex tapes.

If you thought Aubrey O'Day nude pics that didn't include any full frontal shots were strange, Playboy reportedly plans to top that with its next issue.

According to various sources, include The New York Post's famed Page Six gossip page, Seth Rogen will grace the upcoming cover of the men's magazine. He'll be joined by model and Jason Kidd baby mama,  Hope Dworaczyk. Naturally.

Neither Rogen nor Playboy will confirm these rumors.

If they are valid, his appearance would mark the ninth time in publication's history that a male has posed on the the cover. Previous testosterone-laden models have included Steve Martin and Jerry Seinfeld.

But who really cares about Rogen, right? Sounds like readers will have a chance to see Hope Dworaczyk nude!
