New Details Emerge in Chris Brown Arrest
After an incident that saw Chris Brown arrested on what should have been a celebration the biggest night in music, new details have come into play.
The singer is under investigation for domestic violence, allegedly against his girlfriend Rihanna, and cops say additional charges may still be filed.
Brown rented a silver Lamborghini - the car in which he allegedly fought with Rihanna - from Platinum Motorsport in L.A. for $2,000 a day. That vehicle has since been impounded as evidence, with Chris footing the bill of course.
Meanwhile, TMZ has confirmed Rihanna is alleged victim in the Chris Brown case and the allegation is that she was assaulted with a deadly weapon. The crime report gives the victim's name as Robyn Fenty - her real name is Robyn Rihanna Fenty.
Chris Brown and Rihanna and a pre-Grammy Awards party just a few hours before the incident in which he allegedly assaulted his girlfriend in a silver Lamborghini.
Law enforcement sources say the crime report calls the incident assault with a deadly weapon - though the exact nature of the weapon is still a mystery.
Sources also say the typically book a suspect for the most serious crime he or she can be charged with - it's then up to the D.A. to file any additional charges.
Given there were allegedly visible injuries to Rihanna, the crime of making criminal threats may be viable - and is punishable by up to nine years in prison.
Domestic abuse, by contrast, only carries a maximum of four years.
On a lighter note (if there can be amid such a sad story), the completely unsubstantiated rumor going around the Internet regarding the cause of Chris Brown's alleged (and completely despicable) act of violence is this:

i think Chris brown should not be sent to prison for 9 years. I'm not saying this only because Chris brown is on of the best looking youngest best singers in the world. I'm saying this because no-one knows what happened when Rhianna was unconscious. No-one knows who the lady was who called 911. And also no-one knows who the girl was who texted him. This case is very unidentified. You can tell because everyone has a different story. Its a bunch of rumors and lies. I'm looking forward to know whats going to happen in court on march 5. One of the rumors are Rhianna gave Chris brown herpes idk if i should believe it or not. its a possibility that that's what they could have been fighting about, because herpes is a disease that u live with the rest of your life. I'm eager to know what going to happen and hopefully Rhianna does not press charges on Chris brown.

Its wrong for Chris Brown to put his hands on any female. BUT i mean his dad suppose to have been an abuseful father. So why didnt him and family see this coming. BUT the Rhianna thing with the herps doesn't special me , her lame ass is allways in some guys face. BUT PUTTING HIS HANDS ON HER IS WORNG. WELL ME BEING MYSELF THINKS THIS IS A WHOLE LOT OF BS!!! YOU CANT REALLY SPEAK UNTIL THEY GET TO THE BOTTOM OF IT. Ok first off let's get some things clear. I don't know what black community you are from, but my father (and yes, I'm Black) told me if "any" man, puts his hands on you, for "any" reason, knock him completely out. He told me that also, any woman big and bold enough to jump on a man, should accept a grown ass whooping. No one, male, or female, should ever put their hands on another person. Point blank period. We don't know what started the fight, but we "do" know that Chris Brown did beat Rihanna. What makes this more devastating to me, is the fact that Chris has publically denounced physical abuse of any kind in numerous interviews, because of what has happened to his own mother. That makes him a hypocrite, and there's no getting around that fact. WOW...its shockin how this has affected so many ppl! no we dont have all the facts and to be honest we prob wont ever have the facts but the wat ifs are somethin to consider..i.e wat if it was the other way around and chris had supposedly given her herpes n she beat him?-how many ppl would be sayin she was right? n wat if they werent celebs n it was jus somethin u saw in the news bout regular ppl-would there be this much speculation bout y it started? would anyone really care? i dont no wat happened-only they really no the truth but i do no that it is reports like this that make young black men look bad,it shows the younger generation that this is acceptable (which it isnt male or female victim) and it shows that no matter how you think you no someone or the image they create there is always another side no matter how well hidden that side has a breakin point too....as far as im concerned violence is acceptable in two situations-rapists and paedophiles-male or female...

No matter what Rihanna did (and the herpes story is ridiculous!) no man should lay his hands on a women with intent to harm her! He better get help quick or he will end up in jail.
And interestingly enough it appears Chris Brown has got a history of violent behaviour... I cut and paste below a story on the internet about him when he visited here in South Africa in 2007 and allegedly had a 'scuffle' with one of our local celebs - ever heard the saying 'where there's smoke there's fire' - well I'm guessing it applies to Chris Brown!!!! I am disgusted and will never buy his music again. There is absolutely nothing that can be said or done that will justify what he has done to Rihanna....
