I'm a fan of Chris but i can't believe he hit Rihanna.... I'm so shocked.. I'm wondering why he did that??? I'm kinda crushed.. I'm a badly crushed... Stuff is just so crazy.. Even if she asked for it... But He should be treated fairly.. Listen to what Rihanna has to say??? Can they even do that??? :S Its such a terrible news.. I thought it was a joke but its real... Chris Brown is presumed innocent until proven guilty. That is our American legal system. It is; what is it is. Chris Brown like every American can assert defenses to counter the allegations made against him. All the facts pertaining to the incident have not been revealed; therefore, it is simply too premature to convict him. Criminal threat (which has several facets to its elements), is definitely different from assault and battery. However, the inference based on the media is that she had bruises, physical injuries. Thus, that matter will need to be addressed.
However, it has not been proven that he caused the bruises. There are several issues here that a trier of fact will need to consider. The bottom-line is like every other, American, Chris Brown should be treated fairly by the legal system. Additionally, the woman, which some reports indicate is Rihanna, should also be heard. Finally, the one thing that is definite in this case of uncertainty and multiple issues is that the legal system will not be overhauled just for this case. Also because of their age and the location of the incident being California whether Chris Brown and Rihanna were consuming alcohol or given alcohol by an adult should be entertained and the affect on both their actions and states of mind should be explored.

This is all very unfortunate - I hope that Chris and RiRi will seek some professional help. I feel so sorry for both of these young people, we all make mistake. I am sure that Chris is very sorry now and I hope that he can change the way he deals with issues. People make mistakes - no one is perfect!

the fact that there are people who would actually defend chris brown's actions are a sign of just how starstruck people can be. if this was anyone else, people would be outraged, but because it's chris brown, people want to hush it up. there is already proof that he did it, rihanna had bruises all over face, and on top of that, chris turned himself in! if he didnt do anything, why did he do that?!

I cannot believe this happened. I am a big fan of Chris Brown and Rhianna respectively. What Chris did to Rhianna was unbelievable, but I'm not holding a grudge against him. For starters, we don't even know the full story only "Chris Brown allegedly beat up Rhianna," but hopefully we'll hear both sides of the story real soon. I'd hate to see Chris Brown go to jail. Not to be disrepectful, I don't know why people are hating on Chris Brown. This is not the first time a celebrity has been charged with domestic violence.
I hope that this situation will hopefully work out. Even it does, my prediction is that Rhianna and Chris Brown's relationship will be permanently damaged and there's a one in a million chance that they'll break up because no woman deserves to be beaten by a man. Domestic violence is wrong whether you're a celebrity or an "average joe." You can agree or disagree with this comment. It's my opinion, like or hate it.
