The City Girls: Whitney Port, Olivia Palermo & Erin Lucas
In case you haven't heard, The Hills' resident career girl, Whitney Port, is heading to The City (also known as New York City) to take on life and the fashion industry on MTV’s spin-off series, which premieres December 29 at 10 p.m.
Along with Aussie boyfriend Jay Lyon, the show will feature a couple of her friends. Here are Olivia Palermo (left) and Erin Lucas (right) with Whitney (center) ...

Good grief. Olivia is on the show because Kelly Cutrone was her PR rep in 2007. Below is the link to at least one article stating that; there are others. Kelly herself was Olivia's rep and then passed Olivia to a guy whose name I can't remember who also works (worked?) at Kelly's company.
This whole "job" thing that Whitney and Olivia supposedly do at DVF - and maybe the whole idea of The City spinoff itself - is more than likely 100% Kelly's idea. If DVF is one of her clients (and it is, yes?), then she gets to kill all these birds with one stone, while still making paid appearances on this "reality" show. Sad... :(

Whiteny, you're beautiful and intelligent and I'm so happy you landed your own reality show so we can watch your career blossom!
You are wonderful on The Hills and such an honest down to Earth girl that every girl wishes they could have as a friend. Lauren was lucky to find you.
