We knew former Virginia Tech and Atlanta Falcons quarterback Michael Vick was a pretty messed up dude. You know, with the whole dogfighting-ring thing.
But apparently it was even worse than thought.
In a new report in the ongoing investigation, a person known as confidential witness No. 1 says that Michael Vick actually placed family pets in the ring against pit bulls owned by his now-infamous "Bad Newz Kennelz" and watched the animals ruthlessly attack the domesticated dogs, causing "major injuries."
The witness went on to say that Vick "thought it was funny to watch the pit bull dogs injure or kill the other dogs." Sounds downright delightful to us.
A convicted co-defendant in the case said at times, he suggested dogs unwilling to fight be let go, but Vick insisted that "they got to go." As in get killed.
This guy makes Ashley Dupre look like a sympathetic figure.
Mike Vick was sentenced to 23 months in prison in December 2007, and is set to be released from federal prison at Leavenworth, Kan., early in July 2009.

This guy needs a stronger punishment. I really dont think his sentence is long enough. its a joke. I highly doubt he learned a lesson. I wouldnt be surpised if he got into other animal fighting such as rooster fighting! this guy needs to be in a jail for ATLEAST 7 years! why does the law act like killing animals and making them fight is not a big deal.. if this would have happend to a human the sentence would be life. Why not use the same laws when it comes to animals? They are living creatures with feeling just like us. I really hope this guy dies. Hes such a Dick.
He should get shipped back to his country with no money! Fag!

He is a sick jerk. I am so furious that he MIGHT get his career back. I have a precious pitt bull and I can not even imagine what I would do to him if I met him on the street. JERK!

We all can point fingers and say how sick he is and his sentence wasn't long enough. But what about deer hunting season. It is legal to go and get a gun and kill a deer but Michael Vick is getting blamed for something his friends or family was doing at a house he purchased for them. My theory with this is that you should leave friends and family from the block on the block. He should have a chance to go back to the NFL. Everyone should have a chance to redeem themselves. He was the best quarterback and everyone knows there are hardly any black quarterbacks in the NFL. I think that his position in the NFL was a problem for a lot of people. Jealousy is everywhere and having said that I hope he gets out earlier than his expected out date, come back to the NFL, and show jealous ass, hating ass people that he may have been down for the few months that he was down but nothing could stop him from still being the coldest black quarterback that stepped in the NFL. Love Ya Michael Vick!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!11

In award-winning tattoo artist and Pit Bull activist Brandon Bond’s new film Vicktory to the Underdog, Brandon takes the unusual and highly controversal stance that Michael Vick deserves a second chance. Vicktory to the Underdog is a behind-the-scenes look into the lives of rescued Pit Bulls, including several of the Vick dogs, and the process of socializing them after a lifetime of torture and abuse.
Rather than focusing on the dog fighting problem, the movie sheds light on solutions leading to "Vicktory" for all the characters in the movie, including heavily tattooed people, parolees, Pit Bulls and anyone who society has turned their back on through ignorance and prejudice. The film explores second chances and expresses the opinion than even Michael Vick deserves one, a highly controversial perspective within the animal rights community.
The documentary, which will debut at the Great Pit Ball, an all-day charity event on March 14 in Las Vegas to save Villalobos Animal Rescue Center, the largest rehabilitation facility for abused Pit Bulls in the world, features several notable names, including Bob Barker (“The Price is Right”), Danny Trejo (From Dusk Til Dawn, Heat) and Senator Chip Rogers, who just passed a bill in Georgia to make dogfighting a felony.
