After announcing just a few days ago that he knocked up some woman, Lil Wayne is officially the proud father of a new son! Hooray for the Lil one!

The rapper (real name Dwayne Carter, Jr.) welcomed baby boy Dwayne Carter III on Wednesday at the Christ Hospital in Cincinnati, his rep confirmed.

He has not released the identity of the baby's mother.

"I got a son about to be born any day now, so shout-out to him. Pray for me," said Lil Wayne at Sunday's BET Hip-Hop Awards during an acceptance speech. Yes, he asked the crowd for a shout-out to his unborn child. Awesome.

He is currently working on a new album, Tha Carter III. No word on whether he named his kid after the forthcoming album or vice versa.
