From American Idol to iCarly.
David Archuleta is set to make his actint debut on the Nickelodeon sitcom, as the season seven runner-up will portray himself in an episode that will air in the spring.
The show itself focuses on a high school student, played by Miranda Cosgrove, who runs a video blog with her friends. This is where Archuleta will come in.
In the episode titled "iRocked the Vote," Archuleta apears on a show called America Sings. He enjoys an increase in votes after winning support in an iCarly webcast.
The guest-starring stint is part of the singer's promotional plans for his debut album, which comes out on November 11.

Hey, no surprises here!! this kid is just great and I feel this will be a great opportunity for him and his career. He is very shy as we all know but that is why we like him better. No sky high head, no pretentions and lots of smiles and a amazing voice...... Kuddos DA we all love you!!!

Well, I guess I'm going to watch iCarly's "iRock the Vote" episode -- although the Archuleta grapevine seems to be indicating that he'll be on much sooner than spring. Hope that's true, because his album drops on 11/11/08 and I'd love to see him get a boost.
If it is on in the spring, that's fine, too. Any day with new songs by David is a celebration day for me!

The camera loves this kid and I think this is a great opportunity for him! Singing will always be his first love but there is nothing wrong with acting being his potential second one. Go David!

SCORE ONE FOR DAVID! I'm a fan after discovering his single Crush while browsing thru I-tunes.. looked up his AI performances on youtube, and still can't wrap my head around how talented this 17 year old vocal powerhouse is.. he's gonna be a natural in this acting gig... i'll be watching, and will definitely be buying his album..
