Cheryl Burke and Lacey Schwimmer Accused of Being Fatties

by at . Comments

Both Cheryl Burke and Lacey Schwimmer are still alive on this season of Dancing with the Stars.

Still, former co-star and professional dancer Louis van Amstel says the two women are too fat for the competition. Seriously!

"If you want to gain weight, it's your prerogative," van Amstel says in the newest issue of TV Guide. "[People] look at this show to be inspired and think, 'If I just work hard enough, I can look like that...' If they watch someone who's dancing her butt off and she's still heavy, they can be discouraged. You have to take responsibility."

Wow. How do you really feel, Louis?

Maksim Chmerkovskiy is equally critical of Burke and Schwimmer.

"When I first saw these women this season, I said, 'Guys, you know the camera adds 10 pounds,'" he said. "'You have to do something about this."

Do you think Cheryl Burke and Lacey Schwimmer are overweight?

OMG...if people think these 2 very beautiful woman are fat then it is no wonder we have such eating disorders.
If I had to say what "sexy" was I would say Lacey...She to me is a very beautiful and sexy woman...
Fat.....what garbage....

this is absurd. these women are not models, they are professional dancers. and damn good ones. obviously size makes no difference. Cheryl and Lacey are on top of their game. i only wish i could do half of the moves they can. these ladies are athletes. i am quite sure that they have more muscle mass than fat. keep up the beautiful dancing!!

it's Susan Luchy that looks like a scarecrow with no fat at all

PS: Lacey and Cheryl are gorgeous-- absolutely stunning and NOT fat.

"If they watch someone who's dancing her butt off and she's still heavy, they can be discouraged. You have to take responsibility." Au contraire, mon cherie! Quite the opposite: Sometimes I feel discouraged when it comes to working out and staying on top of my fitness programs. There are days when I don't want to roll out of bed to go on that morning jog because I feel horrendously obese and that people will just STARE and call me names as I work to try get the fat off of me. To see a girl who isn't skin-and-bones moving and dancing like that... its quite inspirational. Hell, when I saw Hairspray and I saw the main actress do her thing.. I turned to my husband and said "Okay, this is ridiculous. I'm HALF her size and I can't even go up three flights of stairs without dying. She's got so much stamina! If *SHE* can do it, I have no freakin' excuse." And that, is the truth.

Definitely NOT! And this is why women have such a disillusioned image of what "healthy" really is. Most celebrities these days are ghastly skinny and gross; these two women are actually voluptuous, fit, and beautiful. If I were them, I'd tell the show and critics to shove it - why want to be a part of a show who has this type of mentality? I mean, Kim Kardashian isn't stick thin, either, but they still let her be on. I'm sure she'd still be on, too, if she had been a better dancer.

Not at all! Lacey looks beautiful!

No way! They look terrific!

They aren't 10% body fat like most of the professionals, but I definitely wouldn't call them overweight. If they were thinner, it's just as likely they'd be criticized for that.

Lacey sure does

We should have started dancing with one arm waaay before.

Cristian de la Fuente [following his injury, trip to the hospital and subsequent stellar performance]

I am not the best dancer, and I have not been the best dancer from the beginning. I am happy we made it this far.
