Seriously, did John McCain and his staff investigate the background of Vice Presidential nominee Sarah Palin for 20 minutes?
Or do you think they took a whole half hour?
Hours after it was announced that 17-year old Bristol Palin is pregnant, research has uncovered the fact that Todd Palin was arrested and charged with DUI in 1986.
Who knew you could be arrested for DUI in a snowmobile. Way to go, Todd Palin!
According to CBN News, Todd was dating Sarah at the time of his arrest, which allegedly occurred in Dillingham, Alaska. There was no accident or injuries.
Citing sources close to Sarah Palin, Brody added that Todd has been "forthcoming about the situation and indicated it was a lesson learned he was younger."
To be clear, The Hollywood Gossip staff doesn't believe Bristol's pregnancy, or Todd's DUI, has any bearing on Sarah Palin's qualifications for being Vice President.
But it is worth noting the facts that have arisen about Governor Palin in the 72 hours since she was designated the nominee:
- She is under investigation by an ethics committee in Alaska;
- Her teenage daughter is pregnant;
- Her husband was once arrested for drunk driving;
- She told an interviewer on July 31 of this year that she had no idea what a Vice President actually does.
Any or all of these facts could be overlooked if Palin were as qualified as, say, Joe Biden. But combined with her utter lack of experience in national and international affairs and we're left to wonder if John McCain is even trying to win.

Lets not forget about John and Cindy's affair while John's wife was disfigured after a near-fatal accident. No wonder the Dems are now in charge of Washington and Obama has been leading in 90% of the polls and will take the oath of office in Jan. No wonder Hurricane Gustav made landfall on the day of the RNC commencement while the Dems had a crystal clear and memorable convention. I am beginning to think that the word Republican by definition means hypocrisy.

Chah, I'm sorry it took me too long to respond but I was reading a story about how Obama's father was an abusive alcoholic bigamyst who lost his legs in a drunk driving accident some years after he abandonned Barrack at the age of two. I wonder just how much of a role the abandonment had on Barrack who turned to drugs to cope in his youth, as he recalls in his own book(s).
The article was making several points about Palin/her family.

Biden's daughter, arrested for obstructing justice. Biden's son AND a brother are being sued for defrauding...
The facts of the matter are that Palin WAS investigated, not is, and that there were no charges laid. The man she wanted fired, the trooper? He was a police offier who tasered his own 10 year old step-son.
Being 17 years old and pregnant should not be an issue, unless we want to bring up that Obama's mother was an unwed 17 year old when she had sex with a married man.
Obama sits in a racist church for 20 years with Wright as his spiritual leader.
Obama's claim to fame is that he was a community organizer with a relationship with Rezko, the crook.
He has ties with Ayers- a terrorist, which would explain why he feels comfortable talking with terrorists without any stipulations.
Obama used marijuana and cocaine.
Now.. you want to talk about driving drunk? Let's just bring in the Kennedy's, shall we, perhaps we'll unnearth the dead body of that young woman that was found dead in the senator's car, shall we?
And while we're talking about family values, let's not forget to mention how Pappa Kennedy forced his daughter to have a labotomy because of some sort of behaviors they didn't approve of.. and how they shut her away.. and by all reports she was believed to be a well liked, nice, sophisticated young lady.
And the disgusting,attention whore media such as this site, will preach in favor of abortion, support drunks who kill their dates and are born of parents who deal with behaviors by abusing their children... while looking down at a woman who has a beautiful child with a grandchild on the way- children who did nothing to you and your ilk.

Phil I am not going to delve into you and B Rational back and forth but if you are going to say "Palin does in fcat have 12 years of elected office, Obama has 2. That's a fact." then you should have your facts straight first. Obama has 14 years of elected office 10 in Illinois State Senate and four as a US Senator. So saying Obama has two is far from fact.

She is under investigation by a democrat that has gubernatorial ambitions. She has been exonerated by the ethics committee on the firing of the commissioner
All teenagers make mistakes, let's focus on Sarah. BTW if she were a Democrat you would be raising hell for attacking her family, biased? Partial? Maybe so.
Her HUSBAND was arrested 22 years ago when the laws were just being established in that area. I am currently researching more about that, you know research.

Final, Final thought to your claim that Obama has more "experience" than Sara Palin. Obama is the junior senator from Illinois, with less than 2 years on the job. A lot less if you can call him a senator as he runs around the country. Palin is responsible for 24,000 state employee's, as the CEO of Alaska. Obama 0 employee's (not counting his election staff). Sara Palin manages a state budget of $10 Billion, as the CEO of Alaska. Obama's budgetary requirements as the senator from Illinois $0.00. Sarah Palin oversee's the operations, budgets and day to day requirements of 14 statewide cabinet posts, not to mention all of the seperate counties and their managers.
Obama, Yes, you guessed it Zero. Truth is Rational, that Obama basically sits on his ass as a senator (like all of them), votes "present" (whats up with that) on an issue, makes a few speeches, then goes home. He has no day to day responsibilities that require his attendance, attention or intervention, unless he chooses to intervene or get involved in a particular matter. Unlike a governor who MUST deal with statewide issues every single day.
That's the beauty of being a senator. Like Kennedy, Biden and the rest of them, they get to sit around, ask "tough" questions of an opponent in senate chambers, make a loud and usually pointless speech about the virtues of their party and position, vote (sometimes) on an issue and get paid what 150-200 K. Ask yourself why it is, a senator will spend 20 or 30 million dollars to get a 200 thousand dollar a year job.
Answer: Simple, a US Senator is the best job in America....if you can get it.
Bottom line, do you really want Barak Obama as the President of the United States.........really ?

Democrats just can't get over the fact that their woman (Hillary, Janet Reno, Barbara Mikulski (D-MD), Helen Thomas, Dianne Fienstein) are so much uglier than ours.... (Sarah Palin, Condi Rice, Laura Bush, Cindy McCain, Laura Ingraham..)
Enough said, now lets get on with the REAL issues of this campaign!

I would consider Cheney to be an exception to the ordinary reality of Vice-Presidential duties. Think Dan Quayle, for instance.
Cheney isn't running for President, because he's not constitutionally eligable, having already acted as President for two terms. Yes, there was that other shill who ran for President and made all the TV appearances (and might actually have gotten elected the second time around), but everyone knows who was really making the decisions.
