As excitement builds in anticipation of her upcoming album, Circus, Britney Spears is reportedly preparing to make appearance on the UK's The X Factor.

The recovering singer will be performing her big comeback single, "Womanizer," in what will be her first visit to the European nation in four years.

Spears will appear on the talent show - the successor of Pop Idol, which spawned American Idol - in December, when Circus is set to be released.

"Womanizer" will be available as a single sooner than that. A track from her new album called "Candy From Strangers" has already been leaked online.

Earlier this month, Britney Spears took home three prizes at the 25th MTV Video Music Awards. She looked both happy and healthy, as is evidenced above.

Some worry, though, that Jive Records is trying to milk its cash cow hard now that she's functional - and perhaps setting Spears up for another collapse.
