Quite the week of The Bachelor news. First, Andrew Firestone announced that he and wife Ivana Bozilovic are expecting their first child.

Now former Bachelorette Jen Schefft is engaged to boyfriend Joe Waterman!

"I'm so excited and so happy," says Schefft.

The couple, who live in Chicago, met on a blind date in February. Their matchmaker: One of Schefft's previous blind dates, with whom she didn't click.

"We really get each other," Schefft says of Waterman, 35, a trader. "I guess it's true things move fast when you meet the right person."

Schefft, who struck out on both The Bachelor in 2003 and The Bachelorette in 2005, went on to author the relationship book Better Single Than Sorry.

She is the director of ad sales for Heavy.com.

Joe Waterman didn't know much about Schefft from TV – but he stays away from the series' signature flower. "He gives me flowers but never roses," she says.

Is Brad Hanson the male Rielle Hunter?

It's too early to tell, but the National Enquirer was right the last time - and now they're finally publishing the name of the man they believe had an intimate affair with Alaska Governor and Republican Vice Presidential candidate Sarah Palin.

At long last revealing their source (Palin “family insider” Jim Burdett) and claiming he went through a “vigorous polygraph test,” the celeb news tabloid is alleging that Palin had an extramarital affair around 1996 with Brad Hanson.

"I’ve known about Brad having had an affair for a long time, but it wasn’t until recently that I learned his affair was with Sarah Palin," Burdett said, noting that Brad Hanson previously owned a snowmobile dealership with Sarah's husband, Todd Palin.

"Sarah Palin was elected mayor of Wasilla, Brad became a city council member in the nearby town of Palmer, and they started an affair. Todd found out about the affair and was so mad he broke up their partnership at the snowmobile dealership."

Following a lackluster opening performance on Dancing with the Stars, Cody Linley and Julianne Hough found their groove with the Quickstep last night.

The young, adorable tandem earned 23 total points for their dance, good for second place on the evening.

Okay, we don't even know Lee Kirk.

But with Jenna Fischer having identified the writer as her new "super cute boyfriend," we can safely say that we hope Kirk's pen explodes. So there!

The couple was spotted together at Sunday's Emmy Awards, as The Office star told People about her man:

"We met through mutual friends. We've actually known each other for a long time. He went to college with an old friend of mine."

You better treat Jenna well, Lee Kirk. We'll be watching.

Clay Aiken is gay.

The former American Idol finalist has officially revealed his sexual preference in the latest issue of People Magazine.

The Hollywood Gossip staff had two thoughts when we heard this news:

1. D'uh!
2. Who cares? How do the body parts Aiken finds arousing have anything to do with what kind of person he is or how talented a musician he is?

Hopefully, we're not alone in these reactions.

But, as is often the case, those with a negative opinions are making themselves heard the loudest so far.

Here are a few message board posts from a Clay Aiken fan site. Bear in mind, these were people that considered themselves major followers of the singer prior to his announcement, making their homophobia and outrage that much more appalling:

trollynn63: “This is a gut wrenching day for The ClayNation. Somebody wake me up, I hope its a dream.”

Holmes24: “please tell me I’m not the only one who is shocked beyond belief! I feel numb I’m so upset. This can’t be real!! How can you guys say this won’t change anything? This changes EVERYTHING. I don’t even know what to think right now.”

plumclayzy: “This will be it for me. I cannot continue to support him financially now that I know he has chosen this lifestyle. My mind boggles when I think about how ‘lied to’ I feel. It doesn’t look like my expressed opinion will be a popular one, but that’s OK.”

clayncfan: “I’ve cried a river of tears and truthfully do not know where I stand right now."

Please tell us there are some rational, sane, intelligent Clay fans out there willing to come to the defense of this admirable singer. You know, people like Simon Cowell and his reaction to this announcement:

"Wow, that's a shock. It's like being told Santa Claus isn't real - unbelievable."

This is a little disappointing. Not that he got caught - that he looks like a normal kid. We were expecting more along the lines of The Simpsons' Comic Book Guy.

Instead, University of Tennessee student David Kernell, 20, is the apparently the genius who "hacked" (i.e. guessed the password and/or the answers to the security questions) Sarah Palin's Yahoo! email account. See photo below.

The FBI stormed his apartment last week, in the process breaking up a party Kernell was having. Frickin' cops. Don't you hate when that happens in college?

Oh, and get this - the dude's father is actually a Democratic Tennessee State Representative named Mike Kernell. This should help his re-election efforts.

In any case, David Kernell has already retained legal representation and, at least as of this posting, he has not been indicted by a grand jury in Chattanooga.

We recommend the Alaska Governor pick tougher questions next time. Something like... Q: Who am I going to strangle with my bare hands? A: Levi Johnston.

Lots of Gossip Girl news today - none of it involving the show, of course.

First, Drew Barrymore may be dating one of the cast members. Now, Leighton Meester, who plays one of the female leads, is on the cover of Us Weekly.

It turns out she was born in jail!

Connie Meester was already pregnant with Leighton when she was sentenced to 10 years in a federal prison in Texas. At 29, she gave birth while she was just starting her sentence as part of an international marijuana smuggling operation.

Her father, Doug, was also involved in the smuggling and served time behind bars. At present, Doug works in construction and Connie is a screenwriter. Though the pair separated in 1992, Leighton Meester has strong relationships with both.

The only star we know who was born behind bars, Leighton Meester believes her humble beginnings have given her some important perspective on life today.

"It makes me very nonjudgmental and open-minded," the 22-year-old said. "And I think it just makes me appreciate the things that I have now. "[My mom] was always there for me no matter what. I swear, that woman knows everything."

I need Booty 101.

Probably the last words we'd ever expect to hear from Kim Kardashian, with the exception of: "Ray J, turn that camera off and come do me!"

Still, Kim was worried last night about her booty-shaking abilities for the Mambo. Turned out she had reasons for concern.

Finally - after months of cradle robbing (way to go, Linda Hogan!), girlfriends that resemble offspring (smooth move, Hulk Hogan!) and general idiocy (sorry, Brooke Hogan!) - some good news for the Hogans:

Son and brother Nick Bollea is being released from jail three months early.

He's due to be released from a Florida prison on October 21.

“Nick is getting out in 17 days. I don't know where he's going. He's grown up and will decide on his own," Brooke said earlier this week.

Bollea has been serving eight months in jail after pleading no contest to reckless driving charges. They stemmed from an August 2007 car accident that left his best friend, John Graziano, in critical condition.
