Lindsay Lohan, Pink: Latest Celebrities to Bash Sarah Palin
It's safe to assume Lindsay Lohan and Pink were big fans of Tina Fey's Sarah Palin impression. Who wouldn't be?
But count these two celebrities as the latest stars to come out against the Republican nominee for Vice President. Lohan, sounding more grounded by the day, said about Palin:
"I feel it's necessary for me to clarify that I am not against Sarah Palin as a mother or woman.... I would have liked to have remained impartial, however I am afraid that the 'lipstick on a pig' comments will overshadow the issues and the fact that I believe Barack Obama is the best choice, in this election, for president..."
Lohan, who is in a same-sex relationship with Samantha Ronson, went on to question Palin's views on homosexuality:
"Is it a sin to be gay? Should it be a sin to be straight? Or to use birth control? Or to have sex before marriage? Or even to have a child out of wedlock? Is our country so divided that the Republicans best hope is a narrow minded, media obsessed homophobe?"
Pink, meanwhile, was more biting and direct in her Sarah Palin commentary:
"She is not the woman that's going to come behind Hillary Clinton and do anything that Hillary Clinton would've been capable of … I can't imagine overturning Roe vs. Wade. She's not of this time. The woman terrifies me."
Do celebrities' voices carry more weight than the average citizen? Of course not. But it's nice to hear that this election has inspired so many to take a look at the issues involved.
We'd love to hear from readers on this topic. Who are you supporting and why?

Needless to say I don't care for neither party. But if I had to choose for moral issues it would be definitely Sarah Palin. We Americans have lost all our morals and common sense. We allow everything and anyone to speak and do as they feel. And that is why things are getting harder with our children lives. We don't teach them values that were written 1,000 of years ago and as a matter a fact we our selves don't even know them or practice them. How in the world is this world going to get better if we are teaching our children that everything is accepted and it's ok to sleep with someone of the same sex even though God our creator said and says it is not wright! The scriptures clearly say it! I don't believe people who say they believe in God when they don't even know him and what he stands for. Yes he is a forgiving God ...But! He also says turn away from your wicked ways! So if your wanting to change the world and all that has been written for us to live a righteous life and natural fo

Every-body has a right to an opinion celebrity or not.
We all have different needs and therfore choose the best candidate suited to our needs. Lindsey and Pink have just as much a right to voice their opinion just like all of you who have voiced yours on this post. They are not telling you who to vote for.
I also see a comment made by Marie it is a sin to be Gay. It is also a sin to judge. You can go around pointing fingers but try to point the finger at yourself first. I am certain that you are not perfect, otherwise you would be sitting beside GOD but your NOT!!! I am thankful to see at least one person who makes sense to me. Guy thank-you. People take note When men call evil good and good evil we are in danger of becoming distinct!
My vote is for Obama. McCain has fought WAR from a cock pit of a plane. He has never fought on the ground.
What we could do is let Bush Palin and McCain and the people that support them go and fight the WARS and the rest of us will happily live ou

For all those who think been gay is a sin then be ashamed. people should take note of the real siners of the world like rapists, murders child abuses etc.
i am gay and very proud to be, if my child comes to me and says "mum i think im gay" i would encourage this not turn him or her away in discust.
people cant help who they fall in love with and shouldn't have to feel ashamed as of what sex they are.
and for all those who think god is such a great creator then bless you, if he was he wouldn't have created the real sinners of the world.
people shouldn't jugde others unless they dont want to be jugded.

I AGREE WITH GUY-- THE HISTORICAL PROOF IS THAT UNFORTUNATELY THAT OUR COUNTRY IS IN HUGE MORAL DECLINE. WE KNOW ALL ABOUT THE DECADENCE OF ROME AND IT LED TO THEIR DOWNFALL. WE NEED TO ULTIMATELY SUPPORT THE PRESIDENT WHO REPRESENTS THE BEST VAUES THAT AMERICANS POSSESS AND THAT IS JOHN MC CAIN NOT OBAMA

My only issue with celebrities and their political views is that I don't care how they vote or what they think of the candidates. I have conversations with friends about politics and get told I need to be quiet and let people choose themselves. So hey LINDSAY...be quiet and let people choose themselves!
As for my opinion, we need to realize that this is our country and we need to find the best person to run it. Do we want someone who is pretty much a celebrity himself, with little to no experience and feels our troops have been making "mistakes" this whole time (meaning the deaths of those soldiers was a mistake)? Or do we want someone who loves this country as much as we do, who has been a soldier and knows what their families go through, who has been in politics since before I was born? I'm sorry, I have to go with McCain!

If Sarah Palin is such a great role model, why isn't she focusing on taking care of her Down Syndrome baby? That's what she should be doing for the next four years, not aspiring to a job she knows is beyond her abilities.

Sonia,
As you called Lisa "You stupid idiot...it's cause of people like you this country is falling apart", no Sonia, with all due respect if you knew your history you would know that it was the internal moral decay in society and culture that lead to the fall and destruction of at least 5 major civilizations.
Each of the great civilizations in the world passed through a series of stages from their birth to their decline to their death. Historians have listed these in ten stages:
1. Bondage to spiritual faith.
2. Spiritual faith to great courage.
3. Great courage to liberty.
4. Liberty to abundance.
5. Abundance to selfishness.
6. Selfishness to complacency.
7. Complacency to apathy.
8. Apathy to moral decay.
9. Moral decay to dependence.
10. Dependence to bondage.
These are the ten stages through which the great civilizations have gone. Babylonian, Roman Empire, Mesopotamian, Grecian and Persian. Notice the progression from bondage to liberty back to bondag

People like Lohan want someone in office who will further and justify their immoral lifestyles and ease their guilty conscience... YES Lindsey it is a 'sin' to be gay! That does not mean 'gay' people are hated, but the behavior is, because God hates sin!
Leviticus 18:22 says: Do not lie with a man as one lies with a woman; it is an abomination. Leviticus 20:13 states:If a man lies with a man as one lies with a woman, both of them have done what is detestable. They must be put to death; their blood will be on their own heads.
Romans 1:26-27 says: God gave them over to shameful lusts. Even their women exchanged natural sexual relations for unnatural ones. In the same way the men also abandoned natural relations with women and were inflamed with lust for one another. Men committed shameful acts with other men, and received in themselves the due penalty for their error.
Her beef should be with God not Palin, with the law maker not with the law abider!

I agree with Jim, most celebrities are not role models anymore so their opinions are not important. I do, however know one thing now...all of those celebrities who slandered and called the candidates names will no longer be getting my money. why would I want to watch an actor who calls someone a homophobe? Why can they just not vote for them instead of slandering them? Think about this....all of these people behaving badly on both sides are...parents! There's a thought for you to ponder.
