It's safe to assume Lindsay Lohan and Pink were big fans of Tina Fey's Sarah Palin impression. Who wouldn't be?
But count these two celebrities as the latest stars to come out against the Republican nominee for Vice President. Lohan, sounding more grounded by the day, said about Palin:
"I feel it's necessary for me to clarify that I am not against Sarah Palin as a mother or woman.... I would have liked to have remained impartial, however I am afraid that the 'lipstick on a pig' comments will overshadow the issues and the fact that I believe Barack Obama is the best choice, in this election, for president..."
Lohan, who is in a same-sex relationship with Samantha Ronson, went on to question Palin's views on homosexuality:
"Is it a sin to be gay? Should it be a sin to be straight? Or to use birth control? Or to have sex before marriage? Or even to have a child out of wedlock? Is our country so divided that the Republicans best hope is a narrow minded, media obsessed homophobe?"
Pink, meanwhile, was more biting and direct in her Sarah Palin commentary:
"She is not the woman that's going to come behind Hillary Clinton and do anything that Hillary Clinton would've been capable of … I can't imagine overturning Roe vs. Wade. She's not of this time. The woman terrifies me."
Do celebrities' voices carry more weight than the average citizen? Of course not. But it's nice to hear that this election has inspired so many to take a look at the issues involved.
We'd love to hear from readers on this topic. Who are you supporting and why?

I think it's a shame that nobody or shall I say mindless people can't see what a great woman Palin is. we need leaders that are for the better or our country, not celebrity driven leaders (obama)

Needless to say I don't care for neither party. But if I had to choose for moral issues it would be definitely Sarah Palin. We Americans have lost all our morals and common sense. We allow everything and anyone to speak and do as they feel. And that is why things are getting harder with our children lives. We don't teach them values that were written 1,000 of years ago and as a matter a fact we our selves don't even know them or practice them. How in the world is this world going to get better if we are teaching our children that everything is accepted and it's ok to sleep with someone of the same sex even though God our creator said and says it is not wright! The scriptures clearly say it! I don't believe people who say they believe in God when they don't even know him and what he stands for. Yes he is a forgiving God ...But! He also says turn away from your wicked ways! So if your wanting to change the world and all that has been written for us to live a righteous life and natural for all and allow to mix all perversion to what was suppose to be pure and simple which God intended then you are at fault just as well. It is sad to see what this world has become. Yes gay and anything else but the opposite sex is perversion. God said to a man and a woman to become one and multiple. Not to have sex and not multiple. How is that normal it is lust and once lust sets in it is hard to go back to normality. You are scard and done to much and can't be pure again because of crossing over to something that was never intended to be from the first place. It is sad to look at my children today have tell them of the perversion that has been allowed to humanity. Yes people do make mistakes in life and can turn away from there sins if they ask for givness but not to another human but to there creator himself. God forgives all who ask to be forgiving truly from there heart and want to start fresh in life so we can try to live on earth this little time we have left intended to spread the gospel not being self seekers but telling others that what Jesus Christ came here for to do for them! If more people would read the scriptures they would not be the way they are now but would live a life with full of peace and joy because Jesus did tell us that his way is to the Father and his yoke is light. So don't judge this comment if you don't even know the Word of God. But be diligent and read it and then you will find Him and will be transformed to his being! So watch what you are teaching your children or allowing them to be part of a world so perverted and accepts everything and every one that has a new thing to say. Again it was never intended all this. Love your brothers and sisters that love God! And tell the ones that don't know Him and pray that they will!

lol!
it's always fun (and infuriating) to read peoples comments on politics.
i'm pretty liberal, and LoVe hillary clinton....but i gotta vote mccain/palin, even though her conservative values are on the same par as the father/priest from footloose and pat robertson.
i just think between the candidates, mccain has more experience and integrity to manage our country in a time of two wars, terrorism, and economic recession. mccain could pick that man-looking peice of poo ann coulter and i'd still pick him over obama.

I am an American woman who will vote this election for the canidate who will not try to take my right to Choose away from me.Just because Palin is a woman does not give her the right to "choose" for me. I am very concerned that she would take the right away from me and millons of other American women.
I disagree with her on other issues as well but my sole reason for not voting Republican is the Right to Choose.
I find it even more appalling that she would not even consider a woman had the right to terminate even with rape or incest involved!!
We need someone to focus on our economy to help American's and I see that the Democrats being able to do it without taking a woman's right to choose away.

I agree with Jim, most celebrities are not role models anymore so their opinions are not important. I do, however know one thing now...all of those celebrities who slandered and called the candidates names will no longer be getting my money. why would I want to watch an actor who calls someone a homophobe? Why can they just not vote for them instead of slandering them? Think about this....all of these people behaving badly on both sides are...parents! There's a thought for you to ponder.

People like Lohan want someone in office who will further and justify their immoral lifestyles and ease their guilty conscience... YES Lindsey it is a 'sin' to be gay! That does not mean 'gay' people are hated, but the behavior is, because God hates sin!
Leviticus 18:22 says: Do not lie with a man as one lies with a woman; it is an abomination. Leviticus 20:13 states:If a man lies with a man as one lies with a woman, both of them have done what is detestable. They must be put to death; their blood will be on their own heads.
Romans 1:26-27 says: God gave them over to shameful lusts. Even their women exchanged natural sexual relations for unnatural ones. In the same way the men also abandoned natural relations with women and were inflamed with lust for one another. Men committed shameful acts with other men, and received in themselves the due penalty for their error.
Her beef should be with God not Palin, with the law maker not with the law abider!
