But the Grey's Anatomy star did open up to Allure about the future, as well as her marriage to Chris Ivery and the train wreck that is Meredith.
On (sort of) wanting kinds with husband Chris Ivery: "We enjoy our life so much. We go to Europe and sleep in. So when I have the baby, I won't feel like we've missed any fun, reckless times together, like staying up all night drinking champagne and having sex until five in the morning and not having to get up until two in the afternoon. But I've got to get on it, because the clock is ticking."
On getting married in secret: "I didn't wear a wedding ring that night because I didn't want it to leak out," Pompeo tells Allure. "My manager went to Cartier and bought two bands so we would have something to exchange at the ceremony."
On her love of fashion: "I get to dress up all the time," Pompeo says. "I completely understand women wanting a wedding, because most people don't get to dress up in gorgeous dresses and have their hair and makeup done. I, however, am fortunate enough that I get to put on beautiful dresses and makeup and jewels all the time."
On TV alter ego Meredith Grey: "People love to watch a train wreck, I suppose... There are other fish in the sea. Plenty. Just move on."
