Selena Gomez Tells Fans to Rock the Vote
While most 16-year olds are busy deciding between shades of eye-liner and arguing with their parents over curfew times, Selena Gomez is getting involved with a far more important debate.
Namely, who will be the next President of the United States?
By hosting the "UR Votes Count" bash in Glendale Saturday, Gomez wasn't telling fans who to vote for; she was simply emphasizing the importance of voting at all.
If it helps young voters make up their minds between candidates, look at it this way:
John McCain and Barack Obama are the Heidi Montag and Lauren Conrad of this election; i.e., the two candidates most well-known and most likely to move on to bigger things after the election is over.
Bob Barr and Ralph Nader are like Casey Patridge and Holly Montag; they seem perfectly nice, but come on. The election could go on without them and no one would notice.
