Liberals are squirming at this news. What is the biggest global economic problem? Oil! So John McCain presents to us THE GOVERNOR OF ALASKA! What is the biggest US economic problem? DEBT! So McCain presents to us A FISCAL CONSERVATIVE!
To top it all off, she has a strong record as a Reformer, as someone who cracks on corruption, someone who is not your typical millionaire Washington politician (like Obama), a hockey mom!!!! This is a brilliant move! Here is a classic example where Republicans always leave dreamy democrats look like they are living in lala land.

  2. Terell Vons

This dumb white bi*&ch can go to hell tryin to take Obamas spotlight. What does she think, she can upstage the beige. Who does this ho think she is, haha she's got a retarded baby like its mother. Hey marco, why don't you wipe your ass on Dick Cheny's underwear fag.

  3. Jabari

    GOODNIGHT LOVE YOU ALL.............

    REMEMBER AMERICA 08

  4. Jabari

OK I GUESS MY FAMILY, FRIENDS AND I SHOULD ALL MOVE FROM LA,COMPTON AND LONG BEACH CA. AREA AND MOVE TO ALASKA WE WILL BE ACCEPTED WITH OPEN ARMS. WHAT IS THE POPULATION IN ALASKA 9,000??? LA COUNTY IS OVER 9,948,081 IT WILL BE HARD TO JUST START FIXING THAT...

  5. Jabari

"But Obama lost me when he aired his laundry list of wishes and promised a chicken in every hand. It doesn't work that way"

SO WHAT YOUR SAYING IS HE WAS TO SAY "I WILL DO NOTHING, JUST KEEP THINGS THEY WAY THEY ARE NOW"...AND YOU WOULD HAVE VOTED FOR HIM?? I DON'T GET IT.

I THINK HE LOST YOU SIMPLY WHEN HIS ANIMAL ICON WASN'T A ELEPHANT..

  6. Meateater

I'm all for a third party. But I would also like to see the Democrats and the Republicans present solutions that are financially feasible. I haven't heard that from either side yet. I'm just saying, I like that Palin has worked against corruption in her own state. It bodes well for the Republican party even if she never gets into the White House, at least we know Alaska is a work in progress. Only 49 more states to clean up.

  7. Jabari

SEE ITS FUNNY HOW IT TAKE A DUDE FROM HOLLAND TO BRAKE IT DOWN..AND WHO CARES ABOUT THE SPELLING YOU GOT YOUR POINT ACROSS BUT SOME OF US DON'T PAY ATTENTION TO THINGS LIKE THAT JOHN, ITS ALL ABOUT BEING A ELEPHANT OR DONKEY..

  8. Meateater

John, I'm glad you speak three other languages and I hope you display more facility with those languages. Now, you can't lump all Democrats or Republicans in together. A Blue Dog Democrat is nothing like Nancy Pelosi and we can all be thankful for that. The Blue Dog movement is a positive sign. Reformers like Palin and McCain cannot be held responsible for the wastefulness of Bush/Cheney. Palin has saved Alaska money and been a true fiscal conservative. Check the facts, not the talking points. Clinton did a wonderful job leaving a surplus. I take nothing away from him. I think he was a fine President even though I disagree with him on some social issues. To be honest, I would have voted for him for a third term. But Obama lost me when he aired his laundry list of wishes and promised a chicken in every hand. It doesn't work that way.

OK I'm over it, just e-mail me when this is all over please. We will see who wins....I just want change no matter who does it. I just don't like the games they play with us as Americans...Its all about a woman to most of you, who cares if its a woman or not. Its about fixing this mess we are forced to live in...And by the way I'm for righteousness I'm not a democrat or a republican I'm a American, most Americans love being labeled just to fill they have a reason to fight amongst each other..I don't know about you but I'm more scared of another Bush ruining this county I love so much how about you????..Some of you guys are so shallow but your my people I love you all.

    America 08

  11. John

    To Meateater,
OK Meateater, maybe my Englisch is not so good but I speak 3 other languages too, wath about you Dutch? can you name 2 other dutch words than "apartheid" and Nieuw Amsterdam, it's about the message not the spelling or do you wnat do do some mat with me? When Clinton left office the American national debt was lowert to 5.2 Trillion Dollar, now 7.5 Years later with Bush as president your debt is 9.6 Trillion Dollars that is 9.600.000.000.000.-
Isn't that allready not to go republican? Any Way, your Country ownes The Royal Country of the Netherlands 58 Billion Dollars that means that if they finaly pay it bag every Dutch citizen could get 3.6 Million Dollars so every proud Hollander would be millionair with free healtcare (witch we have allready)
Think about that Meateater before you vote Meateater!

  12. Marco

Democrats are in a state of shock with Sara Palin.Total CHAOS and PANIC. They know they already lost this election.

  13. Meateater

Then who is behind Obama? I mean, he has little experience so what makes him a better choice than Palin? What made him a better choice than Clinton?

  14. Jabari McGhee

Yes a Gimmick. If the circumstances where different, McCain would have never picked her as his running mate, and you know it Mike. And "NO" intelligent women are not a gimmick, I don't blame her. I blame McCain and his party, for playing games with this mother of 5 emotions as well as her intelligents like this. It's a gimmick so he can get in office, sit her down, shut her up and give her no real duty.

  15. Meateater

Clinton would have been good but Democrats don't like empowered women. They like to keep them on welfare and in line at abortion clinics. I think Gov. Palin will impress people in the debates this fall. Although, I give Biden 10 minutes until he makes a sexist remark.

  16. Meateater

John, please learn how to spell. And seriously, Holland? Really? And she's a hockey mom and damn proud of it.

  17. Jay

WE NEED A LEADER, NOT A MILF......CLINTON ISN'T A MILF, SHE WOULD MAKE A GRATE LEADER THIS LADY IS JUST CUTE..LOL..

  18. John

She is good looking Yes, but the whole world is already laughing if they got elected, a president who cheated on his wife with a model in '79 before he got a devorce from his first wife in 1980 and now a soccur mom as vice president.
Real American soap opera, the rest of the world hopes Obama wil win at least in a newspaper here in Holland (the smart people)79% voted for Obama an only 17% for McCain, if America wants his respect back to the rest of the world, vote Obama, not Grandpa and his soccer mama

  19. Meateater

Well, she'd be as qualified as Barack. The beautiful thing about our government is that each President has a VP and a Cabinet to back them up. We have a well staffed military with trained officers to lead said military and a Joint Chief of Staff. We have a Congress that SHOULD do their job and keep the executive branch in place and a judiciary to make sure our Constitution is upheld. Yeah, why not a woman? Democrats have no problem running a man with limited experience as President, why not Sarah Palin as Vice President?

  20. Mike D

    Gimmick?

Intelligent women are a gimmick now? Go figure... Typical liberal BS.

  21. Jabari Mcghee

If something was to happen, do you think she could run the U.S.??..She seems like a nice, educated woman but I'm sorry This is a gimmick..

  22. Meateater

I'm thrilled. She's a real woman who doesn't fall for the typical envirowacko BS. By the way, her husband is a union worker in oil production, not exactly an executive position. According to some of these posts, Americans that attend public schools and work real jobs don't have the credentials to be public servants at the highest level. I'm thrilled a woman who wasn't raised with a silver spoon in her mouth and an Ivy league diploma on the wall has a chance at the White House. Plus, it shows that not all women are interested in maintaining their right to kill babies. I've been so disgusted that the Democrats think all we want is the right to abort children. How about equal pay? Equal opportunity? Oh, but Hillary can run in eight years, just wait your turn ladies....

    We're done waiting.
    McCain/Palin 2008!

  23. bwsii

I think she looks like Peggy Hill.

  24. VOTER

    Teresa Says:
    August 29th, 2008 10:16 PM

Credentials? A communications degree from Idaho State?
Wow--what a scholar! Producing some kids?
    What preparation for National office!

And being the Mayor of Wasilla, AK? Pop. 5,500! Ha!
Talk about backwards! I did my research. That place
has a saloon and a strip mall--that's it.

You've got to be kidding me. Even some of her colleagues think it's a joke.

  25. VOTER

It's true that this 'hot chick' ordered open season aerial slaughter on species like Wolves that are barely getting off the Endangered Species List! Totally disgusting and shameless.

But, that's not enough, now Palin wants people to hunt Polar Bears (!!!), even though they are on the Federal Endangered Species list as threatened according to all experts, state and national! She wants to wipe out any animals in our National Parks and Wildlife Refuges for the sake of Big Oil fantasies.

She's lower than a sleazeball. Her husband works for BIG OIL, too... What more do you need to know? And McCain knows better, so that just proves what a sell-out he has become! McCain = not worthy to wipe our boots.
