Academy Award winning actor Morgan Freeman, 71, has been seriously injured in a car accident in Ruleville, Mississippi.
The star was in a one car accident around 11:30 p.m. last night north of the small Southern town near where he calls home.
The vehicle in which he was traveling flipped several times. He and female passenger Demaris Meyer were rescued using the Jaws Of Life.
Morgan Freeman was airlifted from the scene of the accident to a hospital in Memphis, Tenn. Alcohol is not suspected as a factor in the wreck, but the actor may have fallen asleep at the wheel.
Freeman is in serious condition, but state troopers say he was talking at the scene before he was taken to the hospital.
We hope that Morgan Freeman, star of Se7en, Million Dollar Baby, The Shawshank Redemption, The Dark Knight and so much more, recovers fully and quickly.

Mr. Freeman, do yourself and most of the world a favor and go back home to your wife. She has been there for you for 24 years, she can be there until the end. Do not leave your wife for such foolishness. Get well soon and GO HOME TO YOUR WIFE! Read the Bible more and you will get a clear picture. God bless!
