Lauren Conrad on the Ups and Downs of Fame
It seems as though nary an episode of The Hills passes by without Lauren Conrad shedding a tear or getting into a cat fight.
"I know I look tortured," she says in the September issue of CosmoGIRL. "But, it's a TV show and you don't see all sides of people.
"The Hills is a dramatic show about relationships. It's not about me being a designer. No one wants to see me working at the factory on my collection, or me and Lo [Bosworth] having a dance party in our pajamas."
Lauren Conrad says there are downfalls to living a public life.
"Can you imagine being 22 and having your parents know everything there is about you?" she laments. "Literally, my mom can go online and find out where I went last night, who I was with. I mean, there are no secrets!"
Lauren Conrad — who recently denied claims that she is not actively involved in her clothing line — is currently plotting out her fall wardrobe.
On her list? "Really rich colors like plum, dark green and black."
