With the news just out that Disney channel movie Camp Rock averaged 8.9 million viewers last week - beating out the ratings for the original High School Musical - it comes as no shock that the network has already announced plans for a sequel.
Camp Rock made the Disney Channel the number one network on all of television in its 8 p.m. slot, beating out runner-up CBS by more than three million viewers.
With The Jonas Brothers and Demi Lovato safely aboard a sequel, it's safe to assume this franchise has many more editions to go.

I have seen both movies. Camp Rock was definitly less annoying than High School Musical. The songs werent as cheesy. There was more acting and less songs than HSM which was good.

OMG! camp rock was so good!! i loooove it! it was so hilarious! dont get me wrong high school musical was good but camp rock was betta!!! I LOVE THE JONAS BROTHERS! KEEP ON ROCKIN!

Camp rock. yes high school musical was good and sweet and everything but i guess its the fact that the jonas brothers are in this movie and its not as cheesy as hsm.

I'm so excited for the movie. All the brothers are supposed to get equal screeen time which is great. It's definitely a better movie than HSM. The acting was much better. Joe is way hotter than Zac and Demi is alot smarter and down to earth than Vanessa.
