Selena Gomez Wants to be Taken Seriously

Still, we can't help but wonder if a recent quote by Gomez was meant as a slight of Cyrus.
When asked over the weekend, while attending the premiere of WALL•E, how her career path might differ my Miley's, Selena replied:
"I think I might want to take a different route... I love acting, and that's my passion. So I would love to do more movies and some serious things. So, maybe a different road with me."
Is Gomez implying that Miley's career is not meant to be taken seriously?

OK let's get this straight....Miley is a superstar, sells millions of records, sells out arena concert tours, has a #1 tv show, is worth a billion dollars, is invited to every celebrity event in hollywood cuz she's so popular...need I go on? Selena and Demi are okay for little starlets but can't be compared to the biggest most popular teen on earth MILEY CYRUS. Plus Miley is super-cute and those other two are only sort-of good looking if you have a paper bag to barf in when you look at them
