If Jessica Simpson is to be believed, Leona Lewis is not a real woman.

Following the donning of a t-shirt that claimed "Real Women Eat Meat," Simpson must now face questions as to how one would describe Lewis, who has been named Sexiest Vegetarian of 2008 by PETA. (Red Hot Chili Peppers singer Anthony Kiedis shared the honor.)

The British singer beat out better known vegetarians such as Kristen Bell, Milo Ventimiglia, Abbie Cornish and Hayden Panettiere for the award.

"I am totally against animal cruelty," Lewis said, who also knocked off perpetual The Hollywood Gossip favorite and Simpson rival Carrie Underwood in the poll. "I am vegetarian so I don't have clothes, shoes, or bags made from leather or suede or any animal products… I'm on a mission."
