Never one to shy away from speaking her mind, Katherine Heigl has taken herself out of the running for the upcoming 60th Annual Emmy Awards.
The reason? Last year's Best Supporting Actress said Grey's Anatomy, her hit show for four seasons, just didn't give her enough to work with.
"I did not feel that I was given the material this season that warrants an Emmy Award nomination and in an effort to maintain the integrity of the academy organization, I withdrew my name from contention," Katherine Heigl told the Los Angeles Times.
"In addition, I did not want to potentially take away an opportunity from another actress who was given such materials."

Heigl's latest controversial comments either reflect a gracious gesture to her fellow actresses, or a dubious and obnoxious indictment of the people who put her in those non-Emmy situations - the Grey's Anatomy writing staff.
Our guess is it's the latter. While we admit, the show took a swan dive off a cliff creatively in the past year, who does this girl think she is? Oooh, we're so sorry they didn't give you enough to work with, Katherine! Get over yourself.

who watches that trash, a bunch of jokers mds,dpms, dos, pretending to be docs, not wearing eye protection, all over sexed, poor quality scripts, and fluzies walking around the hospital half dressed. they claim to be surgical residents--you DO NOT HAVE SECOND to yourself. you DO NOT have time to think of sex, sex, hot men/.women, and of course sandra oh-my, and others, it is a night time soap opera in a hospital with "hot " (except Oh-my), women/men thinking about fornication and "operating" without eye protection and having social occasions. it does NOT respect medicine, it does NOT cast a good light on USA medicine. House is far better, and respects medicine. Tell McDummy to go back to modelling crotch shots underwear ads, adn tell Sanda Oh-MY to go back humping that white dude in that wino movie.
