Tom Cruise Acts Less Crazy on Oprah Winfrey Show
On the first part of an interview with Oprah Winfrey that aired today (the second part airs Monday, check local listings!), Tom Cruise let us down.
The occasionally deranged husband of Kate Holmes and probable father of Suri Cruise simply sat on a couch. He didn't jump on it once.
Here's what Cruise had to say on a number of topics:
On his feelings for Holmes: "I can't even articulate it, to be honest. That feeling, that connection. Just who she is and what she means to me."
On waiting three months to publish Suri's photo in Vanity Fair in 2006: "Kate and I didn't feel any need to [rush] it. We said, 'Why? It's our family.' We just were on Suri time."
Check out more Tom Cruise quotes - from the crazy to the, unfortunately, rational - now.
Fashion Face-Off: Paris Hilton vs. Nicky Hilton
Based on the photo below, it looks like Paris Hilton and Nicky Hilton share more than a set of parents. They share a wardrobe, too.
Who looks better in this outfit?
Kim Kardashian Kuddles Koala
With a satisfied, relaxed smile across her lips, typically only seen post-coitus by Reggie Bush (or, you know, anyone that watched the Ray J sex tape), Kim Kardashian rubs her cheek against the backside of a koala bear.
We can't blame this little guy for having such a petrified look on his face. You better take a long bath after this encounter, buddy.
In this picture - courtesy of INF Daily - Kim Kardashian rubs up against a koala bear. Her k-loving family, comprised of Kris, Khloe and Kourtney, must have been psyched.
Tusher Won't Pimp Out Baby, Pics
While Usher fans continue to hate on Tameka Foster, this couple continues to impress us with its normalcy.
In a recent interview with Page Six, the music icon said he'd never consider selling off photos of his new baby, a lesson other celebrities should heed (are you listening, Jennifer Lopez?)
"In no way would I ever pimp out my child for money. I am livid that people talk about my child," Usher said.
Usher also defended his wife against the rumors that she doesn't get along with, well, everyone.
"I stand by her as a man loving my wife and being there for my child... Opinions are like assholes. Everybody's got one. What I will say is, this is my wife and I would hope that [people] would respect my wife and my marriage and who I have chosen to spend my life with."
An Innocent Miley Cyrus Photo
What racy Miley Cyrus pictures?!?
The Disney actress is doing all she can to shed her controversial image, following a topless Vanity Fair picture that has received more commentary than the current housing market crisis.
And what better way to prove you're simply an innocent young singer than by posing with one of America's most beloved characters, Minnie Mouse? Well played, Miley.
Like fellow Disney star Selena Gomez, Miley Cyrus is seen here alongside one of our favorite mouses, Minnie.
Emma Watson Needs an Invisibility Cloak
We love Emma Watson in the Harry Potter movie franchise.
In this witch-like dress below, however? Not so much.
Where is a wizard's invisibility cloak when you need it?
Barack Obama Vows to End War... Between Heidi and Lauren
Barack Obama has proven time and again that he's the right man to lead America.
Unlike other politicians that see every issue in black and white, Obama has the insight to truly analyze an issue, to use proper judgment before making a decision, to avoid pandering to audiences in favor of actually having a discussion with them.
He proved as much during his ground-breaking speech on race relations a few weeks ago, and he did so again with an appearance in The Late Show with David Letterman this week.
"My first act as President will be to stop the fighting between Lauren and Heidi on The Hills," the presidential hopeful read as part of his Top Ten "Surprising Facts" about himself last night.
Sounding reasonable and thoughtful as always, Barack Obama did not choose sides in the Heidi Montag/Lauren Conrad feud. But he did vow to end this war.
Among other surprising facts Obama revealed about himself were:
- "Number 5: I have canceled all my appearances the day the Sex and the City movie opens."
- "Number 2: This has nothing to do with the Top Ten, but what the heck is up with Paula Abdul?"

Happy Birthday, Brooke Hogan!
Brooke Hogan turns 20 years old today.
We didn't realize the daughter of former WWE star Hulk Hogan was so young. But now her ridiculous wardrobe choices at least make sense. Kids have difficulty dressing themselves.
In honor of Brooke's birthday, let's relive some of her more memorable fashion choices. Click on the photos below to view them in larger, even more disastrous glory....
Leona Lewis Launches Vegan Clothing Line
Leona Lewis has a hit song called "Bleeding Love."
Still, that doesn't mean she wants animals to bleed and die in the name of breakfast, lunch or dinner. The British singer "has always adored animals since she was a little girl and has been a vegetarian since the age of 12," a source said.
We love Leona Lewis. And she loves animals. No wonder her and Simon Cowell are friends. Zing!
As a result, Lewis is set to launch a vegan clothing line.
"The reason she doesn't wear diamonds is because she doesn't know how they have been sourced. It was for this reason that she is determined to set up her own ethical fashion range and sell the goods at high street prices," the source told UK's Hello Magazine.
Does anyone out there actually know what a Vegan clothing line entails?
Inside American Idol: David Archuleta's Relief, Dedication
David Archuleta has never been in the bottom three on an elimination night. And we'd be willing to wager that he never will be.
But, according to People Magazine, the young, popular crooner was shocked when he was sent to the safe sofa this week.
As David walked over to join Jason Castro, also safe, on the couch, he mouthed "wow, wow, wow" to himself, maintaining a look of shock into the break. We don't know why. Of course he was safe, and he'll continue to be until the finals (where we hope he loses out to David Cook).
David Archuleta was reportedly surprised he remained on American Idol this week. Were you?
Also, according to a family friend, Tuesday night's song choice of Neil Diamond's "America" was chosen by Archuleta in dedication to his mom, Lupe, who originally came to the U.S. from Honduras.
