Just maybe, Jaymes, during her marriage, tried unsuccessfully to get pregnant and her biological clock is ticking away. Clay then, as a good friend, agreed to assist her. It really is none of our business! Also, several male members of my family waited until they were educated and established in their careers to marry and raise a family. None of them are gay, even though, some are artistically inclined while others are jocks. Being a celebrity really does carry a high price tag. I would have a hard time sleeping at night if I were so judgemental as some folks. How would they fair if the magnifing glass were turned on them. This procedure is done routinely and privately in our society without the cruel criticism. I can only imagine how women feel who are trying desperately to conceive and have children to love and be love by be accosted in this way.
It is sad that some people have no life or conscious of their own so they belittle everyone else. This is not the way to happiness; try kindness... it works every time. I hope one day Clay finds his soul mate and can be left alone in Raleigh to enjoy his own children and family life without ugly gossip mongers.

It's quite sad - it appears none of you people have lives. I'm a huge Clay Aiken fan, but I believe if you really like Clay Aiken you should stop intruding on his personal life. Buy his CD's, see his concerts, but stop chattering about him - you may be the one with problems (he can handle his own without your help!)

Clay has an official MySpace page. He could have easily noted that he is straight just as many/most people do on their accounts. Years ago he said what he had to say to keep his very private world private. Now he uses NO WORDS to keep his private life private. The Claymates should STOP trying to promote him as a straight man....he is NOT fighting the battle with you.

My Goodness! If you don't sleep around you are gay! I admire man who stand for good values and don't have to give in to pressure to proof anything to anyone. That is what a real and secure man is all about. Good for him!

I played in a band once where everyone in the band was screwing around with groupies. Even the other girl in the band was screwing the married guitarist. I never picked up groupies because I don't like skanky men and the next morning sting of "what was I thinking" after a one night stand. I just don't believe in meaningless sex and I have respect for myself. Because I wasn't whoring around like my band, they started a rumor about me (out of their own guilt) that I was GAY! Even insinuating it to the audience!. So just cuz Clay isn't a whore like most Hollywood trash, does not make him GAY! .
My new band has a huge lesbian and gay following and people ask me all the time if I'm a lesbian. But I don't feel the need to run around making declarations that "Hey everyone, I'm hetero!" I'm a hot babe and both men and women find me attractive. I have straight and gay and lesbian friends. I also have asian friends and black friends and latino friends. That's okay with me. I know that I love men. But as far as I'm concerned, gay people's money is just as good as anyone elses' when it comes to selling albums. I know who I am and what other people think of me is their problem not mine.
Clay knows who he is and he has repeatedly said he's NOT gay. What more can he say? Gay men spread rumors that EVERY attractive, and talented man in show biz is GAY. It's just wishful thinking. Everyone else is just plain JEALOUS of him. Clay has done more for charity than any other American Idol. Giving back is the mark of a true human being. In high school, all the jocks called all the nerds gay. Who is making more money and has the hot girls now? The NERDS!

You idiots should get a job and stop talking about other people. Quit digging in peoples back yard and start digging in your own. Everyon has skeletons in their closets. Clay Aiken could give a rats ass what any of you morons are doing wrong so go look in the mirror and clean up your low down dirty lives. I'm sure if any of you were in the public eye everyone could pick your life out and find what's wrong with it. Clay is a descent man and anyone would want him to be the father of their child. Had to laugh over Maryap's comment; she's correct in that neither Clay, Jaymes nor his many fans give a hairy rat's ass what any of the Clay haters and those obsessed with his sexuality think. Get a freakin life and stop persecuting this talented, generous, HOT and decent man. It also pisses me off that so much is made of the age issue; would not be the case if the male was the older one. OMG! I stumbled upon this site, and I must say "Most of you are pure idiots." Both the Clay haters and the Clay lovers used "gay" as a derogatory term, suggesting that if he is gay that detracts from him as a father, as a singer, as a person. The whole lot of you are pathetic. If anyone dissected your lives the way you are dissecting Aiken's, they would find sad little gossipy people who need to get off their fat asses and do something with their lives. It's none of your damn business if he is gay or straight, having a baby, sings in the shower, or trims his nose hairs. Those of you determined to prove he's gay just want to diminish him. And it's quite obvious that those of you so desperately arguing that he is not gay are imposing your own fantasies of intimacy upon the poor guy. Why don't you work on your own relationships--I am sure your husbands, wives, children, partners, and bosses are thrilled that you are wasting time here gossiping rather than interacting with other human beings (instead of pixels)! I loved Clay on American Idol..not a lust love, I love his music and voice, I really think he should of won! I always heard he was gay, he keeps his private life private which is hard to do now days...lol..this makes me believe now he is gay...because he could have any woman he wants and he chose to do it the artificial way..wow!
