Britney Spears: The Comeback Kid?

We're not talking about her lame appearances on How I Met Your Mother this time. We're talking about what actually made Britney Spears famous.

Looking hot, dancing suggestively and pretending to sing.

After her vacation, Britney Spears is back in the recording studio, working with J.R. Rotem and doing well, according to several celeb news sources.

"Britney is in the experimental stages of a new album... She's trying to find the sound and direction she wants to go in,"  a source told MSNBC.

"But nothing is set in stone just yet. She has been playing the piano a lot and just singing. She says she misses ‘just singing.'"

Could this be the beginning of a comeback for Britney Spears?

Perhaps, a source close to the Spears family told MSNBC.

"No one wants her to just go back to touring and the pressures that come along with performing live like she used to, but that doesn't always mean that she isn't going to move in that direction," the source said.

If Spears continues to make moves to re-enter the music scene, making sure that she works at a healthy pace is a priority, so as not to regress back into her pattern of hard partying and losing control, the source said.

"She and (dad Jamie Spears) and her doctors have worked extremely hard, and there's finally some normalcy back in her life. No one wants her to take a step backwards," said the source. "It's good for her to work on her music, but everyone will be careful that she paces herself."
