You have got to be kidding me. How do you eliminate Michael Johns?! He's the reason to watch AI this season. I would pay money to see him perform. I refuse to watch this show any more.

I can't believe that the singer with the best vocals and looks ( he has sex appeal) has been booted off. Just like when they booted off Chris Daughtry. I wil not watch American Idol again. This was just plain wrong

I can't believe MJ got voted off. I agree that something has to be wrong with the voting system. On the other hand, I can't believe Brooke White HASN'T been voted off.

Last night on Idol when they voted Michael Off I like to choked!! I could not say a word for a bit.I was just so dumbfounded!!!!Michael had it all..the voice, great performance while on stage and of course the looks...he had it all to make it big!. If Krisy wins this year you can sure bet something is rigged!!! She should have been kicked off before she even started! AI I am afraid the ratings for the show is going to hit rock bottom after last night..you will never ever convince me and any of the other viewer's that the votes were not rigged after last night...if anyone thinks Kristy, David A or Brook is better than Michael they don't know talent at all. unless you like silly songs while sitting on a stool with a boring musical instrument...Brook and Jason are okay but they need to sing and entertain preschool children not become the next American Idol!!! Bring Michael back!! Bring Michael back!!! Please, please bring Michael back...or please recount the votes..something is wrong!!!!

STOP WATCHING AMERICAN IDOL!!!!!! Let their numbers go way down. My kids love the show, but I've already told them, it's not going on in my house anymore. This was wrong. Wrong wrong wrong. Something is not right. Something is way off. If you people feel that passionate, as passionate as I do, don't forget about this and stupidly turn your TVs to Fox next Tuesday night. Send a message. I totally agree with what everyone else has written that I don't think I could say it any better. The way the elimination was handled was childish and so cruel. Even the way they kept the last three all together was stupid.
I too think MJ will make a hit CD because he is real and his voice swoons, croons and rocks you all at the same time. He is a winner in every sense of the word.
Bringing him back would be an insult, I think. Being a winner on his own is the best way of saying "I don't need AI to determine my destiny".

I don't know what performance you all were listening to... but his version of Dream On really was NOT very good. If you are going to imitate the original and just make yourself the lead singer in a cover band than you should be darn sure you can cover ALL the notes. The falsetto on the refrain was just soooo off that it was embarrassing. Check your TIVO boys a girls. Not to mention the silly piece of cloth wrapped around his neck. Guess he was just getting ready for his Tiger Beat photos. You can tell by the phrasing of all the songs he did that he has a more bluesey lean to his still rather than a Rocker. So if you're only as good as your last performance, then it was his time to go.

This is about injustice. Kicking him when he's down? What did he do to deserve that? He's a good guy. They nicknamed him Papa Johns because he's a friend and supporter to all the other contestants. He didn't deserve what Ryan did to him. Leaving aside his ascot and one performance you didn't like, can you name any other contestant who is more consistant?

I love to watch AI but the voting system should really change. It should be like dancing with the stars where the judges votes counts for half, otherwise AI will definitly loose alot of ratings. If the contestant does not have alot of friends, or a community that watches AI he will loose becasue of that. THAT'S REALLY STUPID. WHAT'S THE POINT OF BEING A REALLY GOOD SINGER LIKE MJ AND HAVE NO CHANGE OF WINNING

Oh, come on! Michael Johns was overrated! Yes he had great stage presence, but as a vocalist, he was not a song's best friend. His vocals were always forced and overdone and lacking control at times...much like Carly's. Michael Johns over-sang every song from the beginning. He is a "singer", but not a true vocalist...in other words he sings the words, but does not connect with the lyrics.

Either America has no taste in music, or the results were deliberately skewed. Take note of the people who said they tried all night to vote for Michael Johns and couldn't get through. No way he ould have been legitimately eliminated. Without him in the top two or three there will be absolutely no excitement in the finals. Email fox and demand they do something radical and bring MJ back next week -- let them know your viewership depends on it and they might just take note.

MICHAEL JOHNS IS GONE AND KRISTY LEE COOK IS STILL STANDING AROUND SHOWING OFF SKIN (apparently the only way she can score votes bc she sure isn't scoring votes solely on her vocals). I think the scoring should be reconstructed and involve America's votes combined with the judge's votes.

Frankly, I have to laugh everytime I hear them say "this year's talent is the best EVER in American Idol history!" What a joke! There is no one in this year's line-up whose CD I would run out and buy. In reality, the best pool of talent was during season 2. The others have been mediocre at best.

Somthing is terribly wrong with this picture. Michael Johns was the best thing that's ever happened to American Idol. His talent is indescribable and I sincerely hope he gets a lucrative record contract and the success he so clearly deserves. On another note, Ryan Seacrest is a tool for saying what he said for pure drama, about last year's vote not counting.

He was my favorite and def best of top two. This guy did have real"Star Power". I saw him as a lead singer and more mature then the rest of the group. I think everyone was not worried about him winning, so no one voted for him. Typical, many people worried about the weaker singers staying on the show and forgot to vote for the best.
