WRONG! WRONG! WRONG! Michael Johns should never have been eliminated! How could he be gone and Kristy Lee Cook still hangs on? I think I'm done watching this show...

I hope Ryan couldn't be that mean, and say we are sending him home "tonight",,, then maybe next week "and bringing him back again"

The only thing that makes any sense is that the voters became overconfident that Michal Johns would come out on top and didn't vote this week. This is unbelievable! He should have been the winner of American Idol or come in 2nd to David Cook. Something is WRONG! This just doesn't make SENSE! I don't understand why they voted him off if last year no one was voted off during Give Back Week. What a shock and disappointment! He will be a Star for SURE, but this was a real mistake. I can't wait to buy his first album. I agree with Simon; he is a GREAT Blues singer. He can sing Rock, too, but when he sings Blues he is UNBELIEVABLY GREAT! Good luck, Michael. The show won't be the same without YOU!

What an injustice, bring Michael Johns back, please tell us you are kidding Ryan.
The show will not be the same. One year you give a week off, some voters remember that and think the same and perhaps did not vote.
Let's be fair, bring him back, You will make us very happy!!!!!!!!!!!!!

THIS IS A TOTAL FARCE. MJ WAS THE BEST CONTESTANT THIS SEASON. I TRIED TO VOTE FOR HIM ALL NIGHT AND COULD NOT GET THROUGH. I DON'T BELIEVE THE RESULTS ARE ACCURATE OR IT IS RIGGED. I WILL NOT WATCH THE REST OF THIS SEASON

I was not only shocked when Michael was eliminated but I was DISGUSTED with the way Ryan Seacrest announced it. That was so cruel. AI is off of my DVR. I used to watch it live and then watch only Michael's performance on the DVR. All I can say is that I'm done with AI. I don't care who wins. It will probably be the aww shucks teeny bopper anyway. I will most definitely buy Michael's CD. He's a smokin' hot star.

Idoicy knows no bounds, and with each passing day I wonder more about the taste, depth and intelligency of the people in the same country in which I reside. Archuleta's a one trick pony who would be gone if not for the twelve year old girls out there. Cook is good but a copy-cat. Most of what he's done that has been claimed as so original has been a copy of very good but little known renditions of cover songs by other artists. Mercado is talented but like with cereal with no sugar, just isn't as good. Castro is funny but too stoned to really take seriously. The final four should have been Johns, White, Smithson and regrettably Cook with Johns winning it. Of them all he had the most powerful, hit you in the gut or take you completebly by surprise voice. His lack of vote getting is only more proof the populace in this country have the attention span of a fruit fly and about as much as taste. Hopefully, Paula and Randy will help Johns obtain a record deal. It was a shame his first efforts fronting for a group called the Rising never get off the ground through Maverick Records.

I can't believe Michael Johns was eliminated...That is SOOOOOOO Wrong !!!!! I kept voting for him and alot of times the phone was busy. I think it is NOT FAIR what Ryan Seacreast did to him about last year no-one going home>HOW CRUEL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! MJ is probably a really nice person too. Is he married ? He was the best thing to watch on American Idol this season !!! He sang Dream On GREAT , I thought !!! I can't wait to see the ratings drop next week for American Idol , I won't watch anymore , Michael Johns was and should be the WINNER> They lost alot of viewers doing this and I lost my favorite show !! BRING BACK MICHAEL JOHNS and Ryan Seacrest should appologise for his unnecessary rudeness to MJ !@!

I hate whoever did not vote for michael johns!! This is absurd! He is clearly one of the top contestants this year. Why does this show have to be a popularity contest because if it wasn't michael johns would still be here. Ryan Seacrest suck!!! Michael johns is the only reason why i watched this show.

Also to whoever votes. PLEASE OPEN YOUR EYES!!! what is kristy lee cook still doing here???? MJ is far better than her and many more. Just another way to show American idol is a popularity contest. They should change it so the judges can overrule the results or something.

Ok, well I am the only one in the world not shocked, I think. Not that he was such a bad guy, he had some style, and a great voice. But, there is Australian Idol, even Irish or UK Idol. Why do these guys need to come to America? I also agree with the person who said this is a racial thang. The night Chekesie ( whom I liked for all his Luther covers) and Syesha were on the hotseats, the tightshot of Syesha's people revealed alot. The Mother lipped (It's a black thing!). Well, there have been two AI winners and numerous contestants of Afrikan American heritage. C'mon folks.. it's a Reality TV show. It's produced to elicit response.. and is mostly a popularity contest and a ploy to make more money for Cingular/ATT. Skill, skin colour, musical ability.. have nothing to do with anything. They take a bunch of pretty people, who can carry a tune, for the most part.. make them prettier, give them vocal training and clean clothes.. and those who truly can hold their own go on to be successful with or without AI. It's called exposure, and Michael Johns will be fine, so will David Cook. The rest of them had a nice time. Aren't they lucky??? :)

I can't believe that the singer with the best vocals and looks ( he has sex appeal) has been booted off. Just like when they booted off Chris Daughtry. I wil not watch American Idol again. This was just plain wrong

Last night on Idol when they voted Michael Off I like to choked!! I could not say a word for a bit.I was just so dumbfounded!!!!Michael had it all..the voice, great performance while on stage and of course the looks...he had it all to make it big!. If Krisy wins this year you can sure bet something is rigged!!! She should have been kicked off before she even started! AI I am afraid the ratings for the show is going to hit rock bottom after last night..you will never ever convince me and any of the other viewer's that the votes were not rigged after last night...if anyone thinks Kristy, David A or Brook is better than Michael they don't know talent at all. unless you like silly songs while sitting on a stool with a boring musical instrument...Brook and Jason are okay but they need to sing and entertain preschool children not become the next American Idol!!! Bring Michael back!! Bring Michael back!!! Please, please bring Michael back...or please recount the votes..something is wrong!!!!

STOP WATCHING AMERICAN IDOL!!!!!! Let their numbers go way down. My kids love the show, but I've already told them, it's not going on in my house anymore. This was wrong. Wrong wrong wrong. Something is not right. Something is way off. If you people feel that passionate, as passionate as I do, don't forget about this and stupidly turn your TVs to Fox next Tuesday night. Send a message. I totally agree with what everyone else has written that I don't think I could say it any better. The way the elimination was handled was childish and so cruel. Even the way they kept the last three all together was stupid.
I too think MJ will make a hit CD because he is real and his voice swoons, croons and rocks you all at the same time. He is a winner in every sense of the word.
Bringing him back would be an insult, I think. Being a winner on his own is the best way of saying "I don't need AI to determine my destiny".
