it is unfair to vote for him just because of his looks . Not voting for the guy just because he's already taken is equally unfair, too.
Vote for him because you think he can sing well.
I don't think he would like it to know that people (especially girls) are voting just because they have a crush on him. AI is a singing contest and not a dating game or a popularity contest.

i am happy if he hasa girlfriend. at least he knows that she likes him and not just because he is famous because she was dating him before all this happened. also he deserves someone. he is a great guy! david if you are reading this look for me on american idol in three years when i am old enough to go on. that means i am only three years younger than you (wink wink.) i really hope that you win you are such an insperation to everybody, and even if you dont i encourage you to keep singing, because you will be famous anyway. see you in three years (p.s. i wouldn't mind if you voted for me) love hannah

and if she's just his frind, good luck to anyone trying to get close. he's probably got bodyguards, total tight security on their hotel, and probably make it really hard for him to be chased by fangirls. i know. i'm famous. its hard.

Did you all forget this is a Singing competition not a dating service, David is adorable and has a awesome voice, I vote every week for him and will continue to. Why should it matter who he is seeing or not. He is trying to make a music career for himself, not a wife. The boy is only 17 for goodness sake.......Keep up the great work David!!

Okay, first off, everybody just calm down!! She is NOT his girlfriend. It was never said outright that she was, Ryan was just teasing David. But even if she was, it's absolutely horrible to be making fun of her looks!! Honestly, who cares? It's what's on the inside that counts.
(And just a little note; if it weren't for American Idol, all you girls would just think David was a geek. No, I'm not trying to be mean. I'm a huge fan myself. But seriously, it's always the popular guy all the girls crush on, not the shy A student. I doubt you'd even notice him)
Keep going strong, David. You've got an army here to fight for you =)
