David A is going to win American Idol...He will be remember for his great talent many many years from now...however I don't think that Jason should have stayed and Brooke got knocked off...Its turning into a popularity contest...instead of talent....

There is no way David A is Gay. Do you see how he responds to the girls in the audience? A gay guy could not fake that. This kid loves the girls!

David is absolutely AMAZING. Every time I hear him sing, it gives me goosebumps and my heart melts. He is just so perfect, I wish I could meet him. He has the looks, the personality, the heart, and most importantly the VOICE. I LOVE HIM SO MUCH!

I am 40, have four children about David's age. Wife and children forced me to watch AI a few weeks ago (I do not watch TV) just to experience this young man's performance. We were all awe struck by his rendition of "Imagine". Until then, I had only felt deeply touched by Gad Elbaz who was a child prodigy in Israel. Archuleta has something that goes beyond talent. I have now watched all his videos on YouTube etc. He has a very spiritual calling that goes beyond religion or ethnic groups. I hope he realizes. I heard people saying the boy is gay. As researcher and a parent I know that orientation has no bearing on the person's moral values, either way David will still be a role model for people of all walks of life. His persona and talent have made me watch TV again. That alone is amazing!

David Archuleta - Do you realize what a shot of good you are in the arm of America, and especially the young people? I have been praying and hoping for a true talent that represents everything good in our world. I know for sure that your hard work and that of your family will benefit the world in so many ways. American Idol needs to be recognized for their insights to your talent. I and my family are with you all the way!!

David is one in a million. He really has unique vocal, and can make people listen and undrstand his intrepetation of lyrics. for the last 5 years, there is only one singer who stole my heart. David you are the latest one. i cant wait for your next performance. Good luck David.

what a wonderful performance. It just goes to show that our youth still have some innocence that can be respected by an older generation. His parents should be very proud. I am so impressed with this young mans voice that I am almost beyond words. He pulls you in and you get lost in the melody. Only two other singers does that for me and it is Michael Buble' and Harry Connick Jr.. Are we looking at a future STAR here? YES INDEED. I am glad that my daughter will have at least one artist to listen to that is a genuine person. Best Wishes David - Our Prayers are with you. You got our vote here in the South. David - your interpretation of Imagine was the most impactful performance I have ever seen. It was beautiful and soaring...it made me cry because it was perfect. You should be dropped (with bullet proof vest, safely) into the center Iraq --sing that song and i bet the violence would subside...

In my opinion David Archuleta is the best singer in the history of American Idol. And more importantly he has become an American Hero because he has an amazing gift to truly move people to tears with his incredible performances.
I love everything about him, he is such a sweet person, great personality and his love and passion for singing is so obvious. I am a 51 year old man and I finf myself watching his songs over and over again and counting the days to his next magical performance. Just when you think he cant top his previous performance he does it again like Heaven was so touching, Shop Around was incredible and Imagine was by far the most moving performance in Idol history. David is tuly a gift to us all and no doubt will be the next American Idol and the next huge SuperstaR!!!

I live in Tel-Aviv and I have been watching American Idol. In Israel we have never heard a 17 year old boy sing so well. I love David Archuletta from day 1. I'm hoping he becomes the next American Idol. paula got it right! You'd do anything to make them understand... but you don't know what to say... And you don't know where to start... You'd give anything to make people feel the same about David Archuletta and his singing. Have American Idol ever found any contestant that people could ever loved so much like David Archuletta that will makes you cry like Paula and many more!... David Archuletta is the Next American Idol for many years to come... He is simply adorable.

wow im 50 years old and i couldnt take my eyes off him he is captivating and such a good heart . I cant for a second think that his shyness is phoney i can read people and hes for real . i cant wait for his next performance and i never buy cds but i will buy whatever he puts out . i watched the show with my 12 year old daughter and she saw tears come out of my eyes and i had to leave the room for a minute . the last time i was moved by a performance was mikeal jackson , and this was just as moving in a different way . paula got it right hes on his way to superstardom. i think the reason andrea lushington hugged david was because she knows that one day she can say i knew him when....

As a 16 year old, I wish I was David Archuleta. Furthermore, he has to be the American Idol.
I actually think this year is the worst season talent wise. There are a few very special ones and the rest are ordinary/below average. Namely: Archuleta on the guys side, that Irish girl on the girls side.
Archuleta is far and away the best, but I could see the Irish girl giving him a run for his money. But I don't think they'll be any contest in the end.
Archuleta is what this competition was made for. Archuleta, indisputable 2008 American Idol winner, and I'll go as far to say the best American Idol of all time.
