Remember how Casey Aldridge got Jamie Lynn Spears pregnant?
That story dominated celebrity news for a week or two, yet has been all but forgotten about amid Britney Spears' downward spiral.
But Star Magazine is still all over it, claiming Jamie Lynn plans to hand her baby over to her mother, Lynne Spears, as soon as she gives birth.
According to the celebrity gossip publication, Jamie Lynn Spears wants to "concentrate on her career." This assumes she has some sort of career.
A source supposedly close to the Spears family says:
"After several weeks of personal soul searching and talks and discussions with her mum Jamie Lynn reluctantly agreed that giving up the baby is the right thing to do. Lynne Spears says Jamie doesn't understand the lifelong consequences of having a baby. She still wants her daughter to be able to be a teenager, go to parties, hang out with friends and have her own career. So she'll take the front seat of caring for the baby and take the pressure off her daughter."
Because we all know Lynne Spears does a hell of a good job.
Jamie Lynn Spears' manager reportedly advised her to have the baby, take photos with it, sell the pics, then hand the thing over to Lynne.
The source went on to say, "Lynne is convinced that having a baby on her hip will not help Jamie Lynn's future in the business and she's expecting her daughter to pick up where she left off as soon as the baby is born."
Lynne is apparently excited about raising another baby. We're sure she is. Those paychecks from Britney may dry up if she gets committed.

i think that jamie lynn will really regret giving up her baby, even if it is to her mother. she should be taking responsibility for her actions, not getting rid of the child because it will "ruin" her career. she shouldnt be thinking about her career right now she should be thinking about her baby. i mean, its not like she cant afford to keep him/her. if she thinks about it, she will get more respect out of her fans by keeping the baby because it shows that she is responsible. by giving the baby up, she may lose some of her fans. she was irresponsible in the first place, and two wrongs dont make a right.

Jamie u sholdn't of gone and had sex with that guy cause` u new ued get pregnant. I would never give that baby to your mom cause it doesn't look like she did a good job with you and your sister!

If her mom takes care of the baby Jamie will have more time to party. I hope she come to Massachusetts soon coz I'd like to try her myself before she gets to old!
