Other artists slated to perform on the special, which airs December 12, are: Alan Jackson, Andrea Bocelli, Colbie Caillat and Heather Headley.
Shockingly, the event did not ask another past American Idol finalist to take part on in it. Jessica Sierra must be crushed. And in jail.

Katharine Mcphee is so talented it shocks me almost everytime I see her sing. They had her open and close the show, not surprising at all. Way to go Kat!!
