Last year's Miss USA, Tara Conner, celebrated her 22nd birthday December 13 - and is also marking her first year of sobriety, she announced Friday on Today.

By this time next year, Tara Conner intends to have another accomplishment under her belt: a tell-all book about her experiences and life lessons, she says.

The Russell Springs, Ky., native spent 31 days recovering at the Caron Foundation rehab facility in Wernersville, Pa., in December 2006.

That followed allegations of wild partying with Miss Teen USA Katie Blair and wide speculation that she would be stripped of her title.

Donald Trump, co-owner of the Miss Universe organization, instead offered her a "second chance" - provided Tara Conner would clean up her act.

A clean, sober Tara Conner plans to write a book about life.

On a side note, his decision over what to do with Conner ignited Trump's famous feud with Rosie O'Donnell, and spawned a reality show, Pageant Place.

Conner completed rehab back on January 21 of this year. Soon after, the blonde beauty admitted that her indulgences had also included cocaine.

Of going to rehab, she told the Lexington Herald-Leader in March, "It taught me to be the genuine Tara Conner. Rehab for me was like an awakening."

An awakening, indeed. The Hollywood Gossip certainly enjoyed waking up each morning to those sexy photos of drunken, raunchy, half-naked girl-on-girl action!
